An electrochemical device includes a power generating element including a main portion and a terminal portion, the main portion including an electrode prepared by forming an active material layer on a metal foil surface, the terminal portion being provided on a side of the main portion, the terminal portion including layers of metal foils, an outer package including a container and a lid, the container including a side wall and a bottom wall and housing the power generating element, the lid being formed with a terminal, a current collector including a leg portion to which the layers of metal foils are attached, and a movement restricting member being arranged between the terminal portion of the power generating element and an inner surface of the side wall opposite the terminal portion. The movement restricting member includes a holding portion.

Electric storage element and method for manufacturing electric storage element

An electrochemical device includes a power generating element, an outer package, a current collector, and a movement restricting member. The power generating element includes a main portion and a terminal portion. The main portion includes an electrode prepared by forming an active material layer on a metal foil surface of the electrode. The terminal portion is provided on a side of the main portion. The outer package houses the power generating element. The current collector is connected to the terminal portion of the power generating element. The movement restricting member includes a holding portion arranged between the side of the main portion of the power generating element and an inner surface of the outer package opposite the side of the main portion.

An electric storage device including an electrode assembly, a case holding the electrode assembly therein, the case including a container, a lid formed in an opening of the container and including a long side and a short side, and a gas exhausting portion comprising a safety valve formed in the lid, the safety valve being configured to open to exhaust internal gas when an internal pressure reaches a specific level, and a sealing member formed on an outer surface of the lid, the sealing member including a short side which is adjacent to the short side of the lid, and a long side which is adjacent to the long side of the lid, and the sealing member including a protective portion formed over the gas exhausting portion, the protective portion comprising a perforation.

Electric storage device

An electric storage element has a casing, a power generating element arranged inside the casing, a current collector, and a connection member. The current collector is connected to the power generating element and directly fixed to the casing. The connection member penetrates through the casing without a clearance and is connected to the current collector.

Electric storage element and method for manufacturing the same

An electric storage element includes: an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a case for housing the electrode body; an insulating member arranged in the case to insulate the electrode body from the case; and a spacer arranged in the case. The spacer is arranged between the insulating member and the electrode body.

An electric storage device includes an outer covering, an external terminal having an exposed face exposed outside from the outer covering, a current collector disposed inside the outer covering and connected to the external terminal, and an electrode assembly disposed inside the outer covering and connected to the current collector. The outer covering has a plurality of protrusions protruding outward. The device further includes gasket which has a main body disposed between the external terminal and the outer covering and a plurality of projecting portions respectively extending from the main body and having insertion holes through which the respective protrusions of the outer covering are inserted. The respective protrusions are joined to the outer covering by swaging after respectively inserted through the insertion holes in the respective projecting portions.

An electric storage device includes an electrode assembly, a case, and a sealing member. The case includes a gas exhaust portion that opens to exhaust internal gas when an internal pressure increases. The sealing member is affixed to the case. The sealing member includes a protective portion and at least one of a perforation and a thin section having a thickness smaller than another section of the sealing member. The protective portion covers the gas exhaust portion of the case.

A battery includes current collectors for electrically connecting a power generating element contained inside of a battery case to external terminals, respectively. A caulking head of a rivet for fixing the negative current collector to a cover is contained in a engagement recess which is a space inside of a engagement receiving portion in the cover. The positive current collector is caulked to the cover via a shaft of the positive external terminal. A caulking head at a tip end of the shaft is contained in the engagement recess which is a space defined inside of the engagement receiving portion. The caulking heads do not project from a lower surface of the cover, and therefore, a clearance space defined between the power generating element and the cover is set to the minimum.

Battery

A storage element includes: an external terminal having an exposed surface which is exposed to the outside from an envelope, a current collector which is contained inside of the envelope and is connected to the external terminal, and a power generating element which is contained inside of the envelope and is connected to the current collector. The external terminal includes: a flat portion exposed to the outside; and a shaft projecting from the flat portion to the inside of the envelope and being connected to the current collector.

Storage element and terminal fabricating method

A negative current collector includes a base, which is fixed to a cover of a battery and is electrically connected to a negative external terminal, and a leg which projects from the base and is electrically connected to a negative electrode in a power generating element. There is provided a rib projecting in the same orientation as that of the leg along at least a part of the outer peripheral edge of the base.

Battery and current collector

There is provided an electric storage element and a production method thereof. The electric storage element has excellent air tightness at a portion connected with an external terminal and realizes high assembling performance, even in a simple configuration. The electric storage element includes casings, an external terminal that has a surface exposed outward from one of the casings, a current collector that is provided inside the casings and is connected to the external terminal, and an electrode assembly that is provided inside the casings and is connected to the current collector. The casings are provided with a through hole. The external terminal includes a flange in contact with an outer surface of one of the casings, and a first shaft that extends from the flange to be inserted into the through hole in one of the casings and be welded over the entire periphery.

Electric storage element and production method thereof

The present invention provides a battery including a rivet either inserted into a through hole defined in a lid of a battery case with gaskets and interposed therebetween, the rivet connecting a current collector connected to a power generating element within the battery case and an external terminal. One end of the rivet in the axial direction is connected to the current collector, and provided with a tubular portion recessed in the axial direction, the tubular portion is defined in one of such manners that a bottom surface of the tubular portion reaches the lid of the battery case and that the bottom surface is positioned on a side of the other end beyond the lid of the battery case, and a thickness of the tubular portion increases from the one end toward the other end.

An electric storage device including a case, a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a current collector, a gasket, and a conductive member. The current collector has a first end connected to the positive electrode or the negative electrode and a second end electrically connected to an inner surface of the case. The conductive member includes a body and an inside large-diameter portion having a larger diameter than that of the body. The body is arranged in a mounting hole of the case. The inside large-diameter portion is disposed at one end of the body inside the case, and electrically connected to a second end of the current collector. The inside large-diameter portion is arranged so as to be in contact with an inner gasket such that the inner gasket and the second end of the current collector are sandwiched between the inside large-diameter portion and the case.
