To provide a wire electrode removal device of a wire electric discharge machine, the wire electrode removal device including a wire-electrode guide unit that guides an end on a cut point side of a wire electrode cut by wire-electrode cut devices to outside of a running path, a rewind shaft that pressure-fixes the wire electrode on the cut point side guided by the wire-electrode guide unit with an end face thereof and rewinds the wire electrode on a columnar member having angular portions with subsequent rotational driving thereof, a rewind-shaft drive unit that drives the rewind shaft to perform pressure fixing or pressure releasing of the wire electrode with the rewind shaft, a scraper member that removes a wound wire electrode from the columnar member at a time of pressure releasing of the rewind shaft by the rewind-shaft drive unit, and a collection member that collects the removed wire electrode.

Wire electric discharge machine and wire electrode removal device

A wire electric-discharge machining device and wire-electrode removing device are provided. The wire-electric discharge machining device includes a wire-electrode cutting unit that is arranged in a running path of a wire electrode, and a removing unit configured to remove the wire electrode cut by the wire-electrode cutting unit from the running path. The removing unit includes a wire-electrode guide unit that is arranged below the wire-electrode cutting unit and includes a through hole configured to receive a wire-electrode guide pipe and further configured to receive the wire electrode in the running path. The wire-electrode guide unit is configured to guide an end of the wire electrode to a position outside the running path, with the cut wire electrode provided in the through hole, by rotationally moving about a wire-electrode guide shaft.

An electrical-discharge machining apparatus for machining a workpiece using an aqueous machining fluid includes an insulator for electrically insulating a machine platen from the workpiece where the workpiece is placed. A machining-fluid-property measuring instrument measures the state of the machining fluid; and a machining-fluid-property controller maintains the pH of the machining fluid so as to be kept within 8.5 through 10.5.

Electric discharge machine and electric discharge machining method

A water purifying unit generates pure water by eliminating impurity ions from dielectric fluid. A corrosion-protection-ion generating unit generates corrosion protection ions, substitutes predetermined cations for impurity cations contained in the dielectric fluid, and substitutes the corrosion protection ions for impurity anions contained in the dielectric fluid. A switching unit switches a supply of the dielectric fluid between the water purifying unit and the corrosion-protection-ion generating unit. A switching control unit controls the switching unit based on a conductivity of the dielectric fluid measured by a conductivity measuring unit.
