An electric shears includes a trigger operable to be pulled, a motor which rotates in accordance with a pulling operation of the trigger, a screw shaft which rotates interlockingly with the motor, a nut which is screwed onto the screw shaft and is slidable with respect to the screw shaft in accordance with a rotation of the screw shaft, a fixed blade, a movable blade which is coupled to the nut and is movable with respect to the fixed blade, a detector which detects a pulled position of the trigger, and a controller which controls a rotation of the motor based on the pulled position of the trigger detected by the detector.

Electric shears

A front end of a loop of a wire fed out to a nose () by a binding wire feeding mechanism () is pinched by a clamp plate () of a binding wire clamping apparatus () and the wire is pulled back by driving to rotate reversely a feeding motor () of the binding wire feeding mechanism (). When the wire is brought into close contact with a reinforcing bar (S) and a load of the feeding motor is increased to thereby increase a drive current by a constant amount, a control apparatus stops the feeding motor. Thereafter, the binding wire clamping apparatus () is rotated to twist the binding wire to bind the reinforcing bar. Since the wire is pulled back and a length of the wire is automatically adjusted in accordance with a diameter of the reinforcing bar, a state of finishing to bind the reinforcing bar is made to be uniform and also an amount of consuming the wire is reduced.

A cordless power tool such as a power staple gunincludes a power supply circuit of an electric double layer capacitorand a lithium-ion battery. In a standby state, the lithium-ion battery charges the electric double layer capacitor, and at a switch on time, the electric double layer capacitor supplies large current to the motor. By combining the lithium-ion battery with high energy density and the electric double layer capacitor capable of discharging large current, it is possible to greatly reduce the size and weight as compared with a case where a nickel-cadmium battery or a nickel-hydrogen battery is used. A binding machine for reinforcing bars comprising a binding machine body, a bending guide arm, a feed adjustment mechanism, and a twisting mechanism. The bending guide arm is arranged at an end of the binding machine body. A binding wire is sent outside reinforcing bars from the bending guide arm and is formed into a loop, and then a portion of the loop is twisted by the twisting mechanism so as to bind the reinforcing bars. The feed adjustment mechanism adjusts a feed of the binding wire according to one of a diameter of the reinforcing bars and a diameter of the loop of the binding wire wound round the reinforcing bars.

A brake mechanism of a wire reel arranged in a reinforcing bar binding machine in which a binding wire 3 is fed from a wire reel 2, wound round reinforcing bars 7, and twisted by a twisting hook 8 so that the reinforcing bars can be bound with the binding wire, comprises the steps of: a brake means 11; and a brake lever 12 for operating the brake means 11, wherein the brake lever 12 is linked with a motor 9 for driving the twisting hook 8, the brake means 11 is operated by the brake lever 12 when the twisting motor 9 is normally rotated so that the brake means 11 is engaged with the circumferential edge portion of the wire reel 2 so as to apply the brake to the wire reel 2, and the brake lever 12 and the brake means 11 are reversely operated when the twisting motor 9 is reversed so that the braking operation can be released.

Method of preventing wire from being twisted off in reinforcing bar

A reinforcement binding machine for binding reinforcement with a wire, comprises: a wire feed device for feeding out the wire; a guide arm for guiding the fed-out wire such that the wire is wound in a loop shape around the intersecting portions of the reinforcements; a wire twisting device for gripping part of the looped portion of the wire wound around the reinforcements to twist and tighten the same; a wire cutting device for cutting off the looped portion of the wire from the base portion of the wire; and a newly-wire setting mechanism for positioning the leading end of the wire to a given position when newly loading the wire into the reinforcement binding machine.
