An ECU for a main remote control has a termination resistance having a first terminal connected to a high level signal line CAN of a CAN cable and a second terminal connected to an external terminal of a connector. The CAN cable also has a low level signal line CAN connected to an external terminal of a connector. A power wire VCC is divided at its midportion, and respectively connected to external terminals of the connector. When a connector is connected, the termination resistance is connected between the high level signal line CAN and the low level signal line CAN of the CAN cable by a jumper line, and power is supplied through a jumper line. When the connector is disconnected, the termination resistance is not connected and the ECU for a main remote control does not operate since no power is supplied thereto.

Electronic control device for remote control and teleoperation system using same

A ground wire connecting structure has a joint unit that is mounted to an oil tank. The joint unit has a base body to which bus bars are attached. Connector sections accommodating ground terminals are connected to the bus bars. The joint unit is coupled to a ground surface that is defined by the oil tank. The base body and the ground surface are made of a metal, such as an aluminum alloy. The base body has a contact portion for surface contact with the ground surface. Connector sections, to which external ground wires are fixed, are connected to the external ground wires and the ground terminals. As such, the external ground wires and the ground surface are electrically coupled with each other. The contact portion between the base body and the ground surface is sealed with an O-ring.

A control system for a marine engine includes a control device to control the engine. A transmitter creates a command signal and sends the command signal to a receiver. The receiver receives the command signal and transfers the command signal to the control device. The control device includes memory to store the command signal. The control device determines whether the command signal is correctly transferred to the control device. The control device controls the engine in complying with the command signal transferred from the receiver when the command signal is correctly transferred. The control device controls the engine in complying with the command signal stored in the storage device when the command signal is not correctly transferred.

Control system and method for marine engine

A malfunction diagnosis system is provided to aid a technician or engineer in diagnosing an internal combustion engine. The diagnostic system comprises an electronic control unit that is operatively coupled to a data storage device and to one or more engine sensors. The electronic control unit is configured to collect data from the one or more engine sensors, compare the collected data with predetermined engine parameter values, and store the collected and compared data in the data storage device in various formats. A computer is selectively coupled to the data storage device. The computer program is configured to display specific sets of data and to clearly display any faulty engine parameter values resulting from the collected data comparison.
