An evacuation running assistance system includes a road shoulder evacuation possibility determiner to determine if an own vehicle can be evacuated to a road shoulder; an own vehicle situation determiner to determine a current situation of an own vehicle in accordance with a time limit and the road shoulder evacuation possibility, a controller to control an own vehicle in accordance with the situation of the own vehicle; and a road shoulder evacuation possibility road determiner to acquire evacuation space information from a past running history of the own vehicle. The own vehicle situation determiner determines that the own vehicle is in the situation to be controlled to perform the on-lane stopping when the road shoulder evacuation possibility road determiner does not determine within the provisional time that the evacuation of the own vehicle to the road shoulder is possible.

Road shoulder evacuation running assistance system

An object detection device includes a transceiver configured to transmit/receive an ultrasonic wave; a drive signal generation unit configured to generate a drive signal for driving the transceiver; a transmitter circuit configured to cause the transceiver to transmit a probe wave, which is an ultrasonic wave, by driving the transceiver based on the drive signal; and a receiver circuit configured to generate a reception signal corresponding to a reception result of the ultrasonic wave of the transceiver, wherein the drive signal generation unit is configured to generate the drive signal so that frequency of the probe wave changes over time. The device further includes: a voltage measurement unit configured to measure a voltage signal generated in the transceiver while the transceiver transmits the probe wave with frequency changing over time; and a state determination unit configured to make a state determination regarding the transceiver based on the voltage signal.

Object detection device

An evacuation running assistance system includes a peripheral environment recognizer to recognize at least a space of a road shoulder and a free space as a non-traffic portion, a time limit setter to set a time limit on the own vehicle for continuing evacuation running, and an evacuation place setter to determine at least one of the road shoulder space and the free space recognized by the peripheral environment recognizer as an evacuation place where the own vehicle is evacuated. A situation determiner determines a situation of an own vehicle as being in one of situations in which evacuation running is to be continued, running of an own vehicle is to be stopped on a lane, and road shoulder evacuation is to be performed based on the time limit. A controller controls the own vehicle based on the situation of the own vehicle determined by the situation determiner.

Evacuation running assistance system

A plurality of ultrasonic sensors are configured such that search ultrasonic waves transmitted from the respective ultrasonic sensors have mutually different characteristics that are mutually distinguishable. A transmission timing setting unit is configured to set a transmission timing of transmitting the search ultrasonic wave for each of the ultrasonic sensors, such that the plurality of ultrasonic sensors transmit the respective search ultrasonic waves at respective transmission timings that are mutually different. The transmission timing setting unit is configured to set a delay time between a first transmission timing, which is a transmission timing of the first ultrasonic sensor, and a second transmission timing, which is a transmission timing of the second ultrasonic sensor, with the delay time being determined based on a positional relationship between the first ultrasonic sensor and the second ultrasonic sensor.

Object detection device, object detection method, and control device

An ultrasonic sensor is provided with an ultrasonic element that converts between an electrical signal and an ultrasonic vibration and an element accommodating case having a bottomed cylindrical shape and accommodating the ultrasonic element inside thereof. The element accommodating case includes a side plate portion formed in a cylindrical shape that surrounds a directional center axis, and a bottom plate portion that closes one end side of the side plate portion in an axial direction which is parallel to the directional center axis. The ultrasonic element is attached to the bottom plate portion. The bottom plate portion includes at least one protrusion. The protrusions vibrate together with the bottom plate portion when the bottom plate portion vibrates as an ultrasonic vibration.
