A soft magnetic alloy has a main component of Fe. The soft magnetic alloy contains P. A Fe-rich phase and a Fe-poor phase are contained. An average concentration of P in the Fe-poor phase is 1.5 times or larger than an average concentration of P in the soft magnetic alloy by number of atoms.

Soft magnetic alloy and magnetic device

Provided is a soft magnetic alloy including Fe as a main component, in which a slope of an approximate straight line, plotted between cumulative frequencies of 20 to 80% on Fe content in each grid of 80000 grids or more, each of which has 1 nm&#xd7;1 nm&#xd7;1 nm, is &#x2212;0.1 to &#x2212;0.4, provided that Fe content (atom %) of each grid is Y axis, and the cumulative frequencies (%) obtained in descending order of Fe content in each grid is X axis, and an amorphization ratio X is 85% or more.

A rare earth magnet includes main phase grains having an RTB type crystal structure. The main phase grains include Ga. A concentration ratio A (A=&#x3b1;Ga/&#x3b2;Ga) of the main phase grains is 1.20 or more, where &#x3b1;Ga and &#x3b2;Ga are respectively a highest concentration of Ga and a lowest concentration of Ga in one main phase grain.

An inductor element includes a wire-winding portion and a core portion. In the wire-winding portion, a conductor is wound in a coil shape. The core portion surrounds the wire-winding portion and contains a magnetic powder and a resin. An inner-core central region is a region of the core portion within a distance from a winding axis center of the wire-winding portion toward an existing region of the wire-winding portion in an outward direction perpendicular to the winding axis center. A top-plate central region is a region of the core portion within a distance from the winding axis center toward a no-existing region of the wire-winding portion in the outward direction. S&#x3b1;&#x2212;S&#x3b2;&#x2265;&#x2212;2% is satisfied, where S&#x3b1; (%) and S&#x3b2; (%) are respectively an area ratio of the magnetic powder in the inner-core central region and the top-plate central region.

Provided is a soft magnetic alloy including Fe, as a main component, and including C. the soft magnetic alloy includes an Fe composite network phase having Fe-rich grids connected in a continuous measurement range including 80000 grids, each of which size is 1 nm&#xd7;1 nm&#xd7;1 nm. An average of C content ratio of the Fe-poor grids having cumulative frequency of 90% or more from lower C content is 5.0 times or more to an average of C content ratio of the whole soft magnetic alloy.

Provided is a soft magnetic alloy including Fe, as a main component, and including B. Among 80000 pieces of a grid having 1 nm&#xd7;1 nm&#xd7;1 nm in a continuous measurement range of the soft magnetic alloy, 4000 pieces of the grid from lower Fe content shows B content variation (&#x3c3;B) of 2.8 or more, and an amorphization ratio X of the soft magnetic alloy of 85% or more.

A soft magnetic alloy is composed of a Fe-based nanocrystal and an amorphous phase. In the soft magnetic alloy, S2-S1&#x3e;0 is satisfied, where S1 (at %) denotes an average content rate of Si in the Fe-based nanocrystal and S2 (at %) denotes an average content rate of Si in the amorphous phase. In addition, the soft magnetic alloy has a composition formula of ((Fe)X1X2)MBSiPCrCu)C. X1 is one or more selected from the group consisting of Co and Ni, X2 is one or more selected from the group consisting of Al, Mn, Ag, Zn, Sn, As, Sb, Bi, N, O, S and a rare earth element, and M is one or more selected from the group consisting of Nb, Hf, Zr, Ta, Ti, Mo, V and W. In the composition formula, a to g, &#x3b1; and &#x3b2; are in specific ranges.

The soft magnetic alloy includes a Fe composition network phase where regions whose Fe content is larger than an average composition of the soft magnetic alloy are linked. The Fe composition network phase contains Fe content maximum points that are locally higher than their surroundings. A virtual-line total distance per 1 &#x3bc;mof the soft magnetic alloy is 10 mm to 25 mm provided that the virtual-line total distance is a sum of virtual lines linking the maximum points adjacent each other. A virtual-line average distance that is an average distance of the virtual lines is 6 nm or more and 12 nm or less.

Provided is a sintered magnet that is an R-T-B based sintered magnet having a region having a concentration of at least one heavy rare earth element decreasing from the surface toward the inside, in which the at least one heavy rare earth element includes at least either of Tb or Dy, R includes Nd, T includes Fe, Co, and Cu, there is a grain boundary phase containing at least either of Tb or Dy and Nd between two main phase particles, and a value obtained by subtracting a half value width of a concentration distribution curve of Cu from a half value width of a concentration distribution curve of Tb or Dy in a part including the grain boundary phase is from 10 to 20 nm.
