An operation detection device includes a detection unit to detect a touch operation in an operation surface by a detected object and to output a detection value based on a capacitance to increase from before the touch operation, and a determination unit to hold a determination threshold value to determine a start of the touch operation, to output a touch start determination to determine the start of the touch operation when the detection value becomes not less than the determination threshold value, and to output a first deemed determination to determine an end of the touch operation when a first condition, which is based on a maximum detection value after the touch start determination, is satisfied.

Operation detection device

A detector includes a frame that is at least partially formed from metal, electrodes arranged in a coordinate planar direction of an operating surface, the operating surface being at least partially in contact with the frame, the electrodes detecting a user operation that is an approach or contact of a body of a user toward or with the operating surface, and a calculator that obtains a calculation coordinate by calculating an operation position of the user operation on the operating surface based on an electrostatic capacity change in each of the electrodes. The operating surface is divided into areas. The calculator converts the calculation coordinate to a correction coordinate shifted from a boundary of one of the areas toward an inner portion of one of the electrodes in which the electrostatic capacity change is larger than other electrodes, thereby determining that the correction coordinate is the operation position.

Detector

An operation detection device includes a detection unit to detect a physical quantity changing upon approach or contact of a detected object to or with an operation surface and to output detection information allowing for calculation of coordinates of an approach or contact position of the detected object, and a control unit to, when the physical quantity based on the detection information satisfies a predetermined condition, calculate and set first detected coordinates of the detected object as reference coordinates and does not perform coordinate update when coordinates calculated after the reference coordinates are included in a first region centered at the reference coordinates, and when coordinates calculated after the reference coordinates are outside the first region, set a second region narrower than the first region and perform the coordinate update, and when coordinates calculated after the updated coordinates are included in the second region, not to perform the coordinate update.

A touch type input device includes a touch panel having a sensor array of drive electrodes and sensor electrodes. Capacitors are formed at intersections of the drive electrodes and the sensor electrodes. A controller determines whether or not a conductive foreign matter exists on the touch panel from raw data values indicating a change amount in the capacitance of each capacitor from an initial reference value. Further, the controller determines whether or not the touch panel has been touched from control data values indicating a change amount in the capacitance of each capacitor from a control reference value that is changed for each capacitor in accordance with whether or not the foreign matter exists. When the raw data values indicate the existence of the foreign matter, the controller sets the control reference value of each capacitor to a raw data reference value corresponding to the present raw data value.

Touch type input device and method for detecting touching of touch panel

A plurality of detection electrodes S(n) are allocated to any one of two or more detection electrode groups SG(k) so that the detection electrodes S(n) to be allocated to each of the detection electrode groups SG(k) are disposed at equal intervals and spaced apart from each other by at least one detection electrode S(n) in the direction of detection. In each of the two or more detection electrode groups SG(k), the detection electrodes S(n) allocated to the detection electrode group SG(k) are sequentially selected in the direction of detection so as to compare the detection voltage levels R(n) that each appear on a set of detection electrodes S(n) and S(n+1) that are adjacent to each other in the direction of detection.

Capacitive touch panel

A touch input device includes a touch panel, a controller, and a cancellation electrode. The touch panel includes a sensor pattern and an operation surface arranged above the sensor pattern. The sensor pattern includes first electrodes and second electrodes insulated from one another and arranged in a grid. The controller applies a drive pulse signal to the sensor pattern and detects a touch location where the operation surface of the touch panel is touched based on changes in capacitance of the sensor pattern. A cancellation pulse signal is applied to the cancellation electrode during application of the drive pulse signal. The cancellation pulse signal has a phase inverted from that of the drive pulse signal.

A turn signal device for a vehicle for activating a turn signal in accordance with operation of an operation lever. The turn signal device includes a turning state detection unit, which detects a turning state of the vehicle. The turning state detection unit monitors a temporal change in the turning state of the vehicle after the turn signal is activated. The turning state detection unit deactivates the turning signal when detecting that the vehicle first turns in an activation direction of the turn signal, then turns in a direction opposite to the activation direction, and afterward turns again in the activation direction.

Vehicle turn signal device

A turn signal illumination controller monitors the lateral movement distance of a vehicle from when a turn switch lever is operated so as to illuminate a turn signal indicator. When the lateral movement distance is greater than or equal to a threshold value indicating completion of lane changing, the turn signal illumination controller cancels the turn signal indicator.
