An end connection assembly () for pull-in and coupling of a flexible tubular pipe to an inboard hub of a subsea structure using a tie-in tool, which flexible tubular pipe comprises a plurality of superposed flexible layers () of metal materials and plastics materials, wherein the end connection assembly comprises an end fitting () which is connected to an end section () of the flexible tubular pipe in a sealed manner forming a termination of the flexible tubular pipe in which at least one layer of said plurality of flexible layers is anchored; an engagement surface () for interacting with engagement means of the tie-in tool; and a collet connector assembly allowing releasable coupling of the end connection assembly to the inboard hub. The engagement surface is arranged in the end fitting radially outside of and circumferentially enclosing the at least one flexible layer.

End connection assembly and method for producing the same

A clamp comprises a plurality of pads; a belt for clamping the pads that is maneuverable between an unclamped configuration and a configuration clamping the pads against the production line; a clamping actuator for the clamp, mounted on a first point of the clamp, the clamping actuator having a grasping member for a second point of the clamp, the grasping member being movable between a deployed position and a retracted position moving the second point towards the first point. The spacing-apart mechanism is able to move the grasping member between a spaced-apart configuration of the second point in the deployed position of the grasping member and a grasping configuration in an intermediate position between the deployed position and the retracted position.

A cover including an elongate body, capable of being applied to be facing an outer surface of the pipe, and at least one longitudinal interaction element for interacting with the pipe, supported by the elongate body. The elongate body is reversibly deformable under the effect of its own weight, the elongate body having a length of more than 10 m. The cover treats solid build-ups within a fluid-transport pipe in a simple, straightforward and inexpensive manner.

A method has the following steps: a) providing an undersea foundation arranged on the bed of a body of water; b) laying a section of pipe and of an in-line structure on the foundation and allowing the section of pipe to freely self-orient on the foundation; c) placing at least one guide on the foundation on both sides of the section of pipe; d) blocking the guide on the foundation to laterally clamp the section of pipe with respect to the foundation, while authorizing a longitudinal movement of the section of pipe with respect to the guide.

Method for mounting an undersea installation comprising at least one section of pipe, and associated installation

A device includes an upstream section defining a water introduction inlet; an injector for injecting a process fluid into the water introduced into the upstream section; an intermediate section mounted downstream of the injector for receiving the water containing the process fluid; a downstream section for conveying water to the fluid transport pipe being laid. The device also includes a liquid volume compensation reservoir, having a variable receiving volume of water discharged from the fluid transport pipe, a connector to which are connected the intermediate section, the downstream section and the liquid volume compensation reservoir, wherein the inlet cross-section of the compensation reservoir is greater than 40 times the internal cross-section of the intermediate section taken at the connector. This device operates reliably even when the stretch of water is rough.

Device for controlling the filling of a pipe as it is being laid in a stretch of water, and associated assembly and method

An underwater support device and an installation method for initiating the buckling of a section of rigid underwater pipe () deployed on a seabed (). The device has a longitudinal support () capable of being installed between the seabed and the section of rigid underwater pipe () in a transverse direction, in such a way as to be able to locally detach the section of rigid underwater pipe () from the seabed () and allow the rigid underwater pipe () to be moved relative to said longitudinal support () in the direction of the longitudinal support. The device also has a link member () to secure the rigid underwater pipe () and the longitudinal support () in such a way as to be able to install said longitudinal support () on the seabed () by deploying the section of rigid pipe () on the seabed ().

Underwater support device and installation method for initiating the lateral buckling of a rigid pipe

A connection assembly allowing a pipe () extending from the seabed () to be connected to a flexible pipe () leading to the sea surface (). The assembly includes a turret () having an upper end () connected to a float () and a lower end () connected to the pipe (). The turret () has a duct () extending towards the upper end () and having a free end () provided with an end fitting (). The turret includes retaining members () that keep the connector () between the turret and the end fitting, facing the end fitting (). The connector () is in a fixed position in relation to the retaining members () and a drive device () drives the end fitting () toward the connector ().

Underwater connection assembly and connection method

A recovery system and method for recovering a deployed vessel having a rotatable support coupled with a stored recovery assembly, including a release unit, line, deployment weight, and drag device on the deployed vessel. A recovery vessel can have a hoist with a coupling element, such as a grapple. For recovery, the recovery assembly can be deployed from the deployed vessel. The drag device can assist in floating and/or maintaining a taut line, especially when the vessel is downwind of the drag device. The coupling element from the recovery vessel can couple with the taut line. Once coupled, the recovery vessel can raise the coupling element with the line, which can rotate the rotatable support to a lifting position above a center of gravity of the deployed vessel. The recovery vessel can then lift the deployed vessel vertically out of the water to a storage position.

Vessel recovery system and method

The device of the present disclosure comprises a holder () fixed to the first element and a connection element () borne by the holder (). The connection element () is intended to engage on the second element (). It is mounted with radial mobility in relation to the holder () between a separated placement configuration and a contracted configuration for holding the connection elements () on the second element (). The or each connection element () comprises a self-locking system () and a mobile catching member (), the catching member () being mounted with the ability to move in the self-locking system (). The method according to the invention comprises providing a flexible line () and a bend limiter axially immobilized around the flexible line () by a releasable immobilizing mechanism (). It includes partially inserting the flexible line () through a hollow rigid member (), immobilizing the bend limiter on the hollow rigid member (), and deactivating the releasable immobilizing mechanism (). The releasable immobilizing mechanism () is deactivated independently of the movement of the flexible line () relative to the bend limiter.

Device for mounting a flexible line on a structure, and related installation and method

A method and a device for measuring the movement of a subsea pipeline. The measuring device has an accommodating mount anchored in the sea bed to accept the subsea pipeline. The subsea pipeline is liable to be made to move over a determined travel with respect to the accommodating support as the pipelines deforms. The movement has an amplitude that varies according to the deformation of the subsea pipeline. A plurality of frangible elements secured to one of either the deformable subsea pipeline and the accommodating mount. The frangible elements are intended to be broken in succession by the other of either the deformable subsea pipeline and the accommodating mount when the pipeline is caused to move.

Device for measuring the movement of a subsea deformable pipeline

For regulating the lateral buckling of a section of pipe, at least one device permanently applies a force to a point on the section of pipe. The force is preferably applied substantially horizontally and perpendicular to the axis of the pipe. Preferably, two of the devices that apply equal and opposing forces are positioned at a distance from each other along the section of a pipe. Each device comprises a clamp, a cable, a return device and a buoy or a weight.

Device for regulating the buckling of underwater pipes

An assembly of support buoys for a flexible submarine pipeline which is designed for the transport of hydrocarbons. A plurality of buoys which can be installed gradually on at least one portion of the flexible submarine pipeline. A fixing device blocks translational movement of the buoys on the portion of the pipeline. The fixing device includes a hitching or coupling line which connects each of the buoys successively to one another. The translational movement of each of the buoys is gradually blocked on the coupling line. Connecting devices maintain the coupling line taut at locations along the portion of the pipeline.
