The contactor comprises a fixed contact plate (), a moveable contact plate () and means for retaining the two contact plates (). The moveable contact plate () is resiliently deformable between a position remote from the fixed contact plate () and a position in contact with the fixed contact plate (). The retaining means comprise an adhesive insulating sheet () which is interposed between the two contact plates (), which sheet () adheres along the two opposing faces thereof to each of the two contact plates ().

Thin contactor

An invention proposes a switch comprising a lower casing in the bottom of which are placed two contact elements. A trip member is elastically deformable through the action of an actuating member. At least one light source is supported by a support plate which straddles the actuating member and has terminals for electrical connection of the light source. The lower face of the support plate rests on the lower casing. The electrical connection terminals of the light source extend outwards from the casing along the vertical lateral faces of the casing.

Illuminated electrical switch with a tactile effect

The invention proposes an electrical switch () with multiple switching ways comprising a bottom support () in the bottom () of which are arranged fixed contacts (), a top member () that is mounted to be movable relative to the bottom support () from a central rest position to four main actuation positions distributed angularly at 90&#xb0;, and a contact plate () that comprises four contact blades () each of which is capable of coming into contact with a fixed contact (), characterized in that the actuation member () is mounted to be movable relative to the support () to one or other of four intermediate actuation positions that are offset angularly by 45&#xb0; relative to the main actuation positions, and in each of which two contact blades () are simultaneously in contact with the associated fixed contacts ().

Electrical switch with multiple switching ways

A casing (), in which a plurality of conductive tracks are fixed, an operation element () which is arranged so as to be able to move in translation in the casing (), a conductive dome-like member () which is arranged in the casing () and which is resiliently deformable under the action of the displacement of the operation element () between a first state and a second state of commutation, a light source () and at least two power supply tracks for the light source (). The light source () is fixedly joined to the operation element (), the operation element being provided with at least two contact elements () which connect, over the entire axial travel of the operation element () in the casing (), the light source () to the respective power supply tracks.

Switch device provided with a light source

A switching device which includes a lighting source () having an SMC (surface mounted component) type light emitting diode, which includes a pair of connection members () with base portions () each soldered or otherwise joined to a plate () of the SMC diode. The connection members have right angle bends () and pin portions () extending down from the bends. The lighting source lies within a switch mechanism () and within an operating member (), with the pin portions projecting through channel portions () of an insulative casing into holes in energizing conductors ().

Switching device with integrated light source

A switching device includes a vertically moveable operating member () with a cavity () in which a light () lies. The light is supported on tongues () of a pair of sheet metal energizing members (A,B). Each energizing member has laterally opposite sides that form a pair of legs (). The legs extend downward along opposite sides of the switch casing (), and the legs have lugs () at their lower ends for soldering to traces on a circuit board.

Miniaturized electric switch

A casing (); a first conductive track () and a second conductive track (); a first conductive dome () which is resiliently deformable so as to be able to pass to a configuration, in which it forms an electrical contact between the first track () and second track (); and an activation device comprising an operation element () which is mounted in the casing so as to slide in an orthogonal manner (X) relative to the axis of deformation (Z). It further comprises: a third conductive track (); and a second conductive dome () which is superimposed on the first () and which is resiliently deformable so as to be able to pass, under the action of an activation pressure, successively from a rest configuration, in which it is in electrical contact only with the third track (), to a configuration of partial deformation, in which it forms an electrical contact with the first dome (), and to a configuration of maximum deformation which corresponds to the configuration of maximum deformation of the first dome (). Electrical switch device with lateral activation

A compact smart card connector that can hold and connect to two smart cards (Cs, Ci) includes a base plate () that holds base contacts () and a cover plate () that holds cover contacts () and that is pivotally connected to the base plate. An intermediate plate device () holds first and second smart cards (Cs, Ci) respectively against its upper and lower surfaces () with contact pads (Ps) of the cards facing away from the plate. The intermediate plate lies between the base and cover, so when the cover is pushed down, this pushes the cards against the base and cover contacts. The intermediate plate device has coupling plates () with slots that allow the intermediate plate device to slide to lock the cover in its lowered position.

Electrical connector for the simultaneous connection of two superposed smart cards

An electrical switch arrangement includes a validation switch and four selection switches, all operated by an actuator ( ) that can be pivoted about two horizontal axes and can be depressed. A dome center tripper ( ) that can be depressed to operate the validation switch has a periphery engaged with an outer contact ( ). The actuator has four feet ( ) spaced in different horizontal directions from a vertical axis ( ). A selection tripper ( ) lying on top of the center tripper, has four branches ( ) that each lies under one of the actuator feet. When the actuator is tilted, one of the feet depresses one of the branches against one of four selection contacts ( ) to close a corresponding selection switch. When a selection switch is closed, current flows from the corresponding selection contact ( ) through the selection tripper ( ) and center tripper ( ), to the outer contact ( ), so only a single tail ( ) (to be soldered to a circuit board) is required for each selection switch.

Multiple electrical switch arrangement

An electrical switch mounted on a circuit board and providing tactile feedback includes a domed tripper ( ) and an elastomeric actuator ( ) with a rod having an upper operating end ( ) that can be depressed to snap down the tripper and close the switch. The actuator has a lower sealing lip ( ) extending in a 360&deg; circle around the tripper and lying against the circuit board upper face, to form a sealed cavity ( ) containing the tripper. The 360&deg; sealing lip of the actuator is pressed down against the circuit board by a cap ( ) that has a side wall ( ) with a lower edge ( ) pressing down against the sealing lip. The cap has feet ( ) extending down through holes in the circuit board, the feet having latches ( ) that hold the cap in place.

Sealed board-mounted electrical switch

A miniature electrical switch is closed when a pusher ( ) is pushed forwardly (F) to snap down a snap dome tripping member( ) and push a contact blade ( ) against a contact part ( ). Forward sliding of the actuator is converted into downward movement of the snap dome, by a rigid lever ( ) of generally T shape, with a rear branch ( ) having laterally spaced trunnions ( ) for pivoting and a center section ( ) with a cam follower upper surface ( ). A ramp ( ) at the front of the push member depresses the cam follower as the actuator slides forward. The trunnions are of largely rectangular cross section and pivot on an edge ( ).

Push actuated electrical switch

A rotary switch includes a housing (14) with a pair of fixed select terminals (44a, 44b) and a fixed common terminal (44c). A rotor (28) that can pivot about an axis (A1), carries a connector (48) with a contact pad (60) for engaging one of the select contacts at a time and a common contact (58) for engaging the common terminal on the housing. The common terminal on the housing is in the form of a track extending in an arc centered on the rotor axis to enable the common contact to remain in continuous engagement with the common terminal as the rotor turns. The common contact on the rotor forms a pair of tabs (62) that slideably engage opposite sides of the track. The connector on the rotor can shift radially to the axis, and is biased by a spring (64) to urge the contact pad toward a select terminal. A cam arrangement shifts the contact pad radially away from a select terminal as the rotor begins to turn from a center position, to minimize the duration of electric arcs. The housing has an inner face (68) extending in an arc between the pair of select terminals, with the inner face having a plurality of axially-extending grooves (69), to minimize the duration of electric arcs. A plurality of switches can lie in a stack, with each rotor having one end forming a drive protuberance (76) of non-circular cross section, and an opposite end forming a recess (78) for receiving the protuberance of an adjacent switch of the stack.
