Tracking data for a user indicating how the user interacted with a menu structure of a streaming media application is determined. A group from a plurality of user groups into which to group the user is selected based on the tracking data, wherein each group comprises data from a plurality of users. A plurality of content available for recommendation selection is determined. A first one of the plurality of content is selected as a content recommendation based on previous viewing patterns associated with the plurality of users of the selected group. The content recommendation is provided via the menu structure.

Recommending content based on user behavior tracking and analysis

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for recommending content based on user behavior tracking and analysis. Some embodiments operate by determining tracking data for a user indicating how the user interacted with a menu structure of a streaming media application. A group is selected from a plurality of user groups into which to group the user based on the tracking data, wherein each group comprises data from a plurality of users. A streaming media content recommendation is determined based on previous viewing patterns associated with the plurality of users of the selected group. The streaming media content recommendation is provided.

Interaction recognition of a television content interaction device is discussed herein. An embodiment operates by receiving, by at least one processor, interaction data from a receiver, wherein the receiver is configured to receive interaction data; determining, by at least one processor, an interaction from the interaction data; storing, by at least one processor, the determined interaction; selecting, by at least one processor, a content modification based upon the determined interaction; and modifying, by at least one processor, content streamed to the receiver according to the selected content modification.

Interaction recognition of a television content interaction device

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for grouping users into user clusters based on common behavior patterns, and then recommending content to the users based on their respective membership in the clusters. Some embodiments operate by receiving tracking data for a user, where the tracking data includes content viewing behavior information of the user, and/or user interface (UI) navigation behavior information of the user. A distance between the tracking data and a cluster profile associated with a user cluster is determined. If the distance satisfies a threshold associated with the user cluster, then the user is added to the user cluster. Thereafter, the user's view experience is customized based the user's membership in the user cluster. For example, content recommendations may be generated for the user based on content previously provided to other users in the user cluster, where such content may or may not have previously been provided to the user.

Techniques for controlling a touch input device using an accessory communicatively coupled to the device are disclosed. In one aspect, an accessibility framework is launched on the device. An accessory coupled to the device is detected. Receipt of input from the accessory is enabled. An accessibility packet is received from the accessory. The accessibility packet includes an accessibility command and one or more parameters. The accessibility packet is processed to extract the first accessibility command and the one or more parameters. Input is generated for the accessibility framework based on the accessibility command and the one or more parameters. In some implementations, the device also sends accessibility commands to the accessory, either in response to accessibility commands received from the accessory or independent of any received accessibility commands.

Accessory protocol for touch screen device accessibility

Sharing of a music experience amongst a group of people each using a personal communication device is described. In some cases, the group can congregate at the same geographic location or at least some of the group can be located at widely dispersed locations and yet still be able to share a music experience. Information can be passed between the personal communication devices using point to point wireless communication, a distributed network of computers such as the Internet, a wireless cellular communication network, and so on. The information can include an indication of a shared music characteristic. The personal communication devices can use the shared music characteristic to identify and start to privately play those music items stored in the personal communication device having a characteristic that matches or most closely matches the shared music characteristic at about the same time.
