A brazing sheet made up of a core sheet made of aluminum alloy covered on at least one side with a layer of cladding forming a sacrificial anode. The layer of cladding is formed of an aluminum alloy of chemical composition, in % by weight: Si: &#x3e;2.0-7.0; Fe&#x3c;0.5; Cu&#x3c;1.0; Mn: 1.0-2.0; Mg&#x3c;0.5; Zn: 1.0-3.0; Cr&#x3c;0.25; Ni&#x3c;1.5; Ti&#x3c;0.25; Co&#x3c;1.5; V, In, Sn, Zr, Sc&#x3c;0.25 each; other elements &#x3c;0.05 each and 0.15 in total. A method of assembling aluminum alloy products, such as sheets, strips or tubes, by means of fluxless brazing, where the absence of flux is made possible by using a prior treatment resulting in formation of a conversion layer on the surface of the products. The treatment involves using a solution containing Kand Fions and at least one acid in a quantity such that the pH of the solution is less than 3. The inventive method enables effective flux was brazing in industrial conditions, such as a for the production of heat exchangers used in motor vehicles.
