A spring brake cylinder is provided for brake systems of vehicles. It includes a spring brake piston, which is arranged in a housing of the spring brake cylinder and can be actuated by at least one accumulator spring and separates a spring chamber containing the accumulator spring from a spring brake chamber of the spring brake cylinder that can be filled with air for release and can be vented of air for application. A circulation device is provided at least for venting the spring chamber directly into the atmosphere. The circulation device is configured as a diaphragm valve device having at least one elastically movable outlet diaphragm and at least one elastically movable inlet diaphragm. The inlet diaphragm and the outlet diaphragm are in a closed position in contact with an associated valve seat in the home position of the diaphragms and, when a pressure difference between the spring chamber and the atmosphere exceeding a minimum pressure value is present, the diaphragms are moved into an open position lifted from the valve seat in order to build up and reduce pressure in the spring chamber.

A combined service brake cylinder and spring brake cylinder for brake systems of vehicles is provided, wherein a bayonet coupling is configured between the spring brake cylinder and an intermediate wall. The bayonet coupling has locking segments protruding radially outward on an end-side edge of a wall of the spring brake cylinder and recess segments formed radially inward and recess segments corresponding thereto that are formed radially outward and formed on an annular chamber connected to the intermediate wall and locking segments protruding radially inward into the annular chamber. A bottom-side stop surface in the annular chamber forms an axial stop for the end-side wall edge of the spring brake cylinder. An annular seal is arranged between a circumferential surface of the edge of the wall of the spring brake cylinder pointing radially inward and the circumferential surface of the annular chamber pointing radially outward. A recess provided in the bottom of the annular chamber accommodates at least one end section of the annular seal, and end-face contact surfaces are provided on the locking segments of the spring brake cylinder for abutting on the bottom-side stop surface in the annular chamber. At least the and section of the annular seal is clamped between the recess in the bottom of the annular chamber and the edge of the wall of the spring brake cylinder.

A spring-loaded brake cylinder for commercial vehicles includes at least one spring-loaded brake piston that can be actuated by a pre-loaded spring and is supported in a housing. A mechanical emergency release device is provided for the emergency release of the spring-loaded brake cylinder. The emergency release device includes an indicator that has an indicator rod indicating the position of the spring-loaded brake piston. The rod extends through a threaded spindle of the emergency release device and is movable in the axial direction. A stop body is disposed in the region of one end of the indicator rod. The stop body is positively connected to the indicator rod by a detent connection produced by an axial relative movement between the indicator rod and the stop body.

A spring-loaded piston is produced from plastic, particularly by injection molding. The spring-loaded piston is developed in the area of a connection to a piston or piston rod such that tilting of the spring-loaded piston with respect to the piston rod is prevented and a sufficiently firm connection is ensured. In addition, the spring-loaded piston may include a reinforcing insert by which clearly higher forces can be transmitted while maintaining smaller wall thicknesses than in conventional spring-loaded pistons. Also, the seat or contact surface in the spring-loaded piston is constructed for supporting the preloaded spring such that possibly occurring radial forces do not have any negative influence on the functionality of the spring-loaded piston.
