Systems for communicating data through a satellite are disclosed. The systems generally include a radio designed for terrestrial communications that is configured to uplink data to one or more satellites. The one or more satellites are configured to receive the data from the terrestrial radio. In addition, the systems include terrestrial receivers, such as one or more chirp spread spectrum radios, positioned at ground level, which are configured to receive the data from the one or more satellites.

Systems and methods for communicating data over satellites

Systems for communicating data through a satellite are disclosed. The systems generally include a terrestrial radio, such as a chirp spread spectrum modulator. The terrestrial radio is configured to uplink data to one or more satellites. The one or more satellites are configured to receive the data from the terrestrial radio. In addition, the systems include terrestrial receivers, such as one or more chirp spread spectrum receivers, positioned at ground level, which are configured to receive the data from the one or more satellites.

A system for obtaining data files from a plurality of third party servers and transmitting the data files to a plurality of users is disclosed. The system includes at least one server, at least one satellite, and a plurality of local storage devices. The server is configured to download and save data files from a plurality of third party servers via an Internet connection and then directly communicate the data files to the satellite, which is configured to then relay the data files as radio frequency signals to the local storage devices. Each local storage device is configured to (i) receive and decode the radio frequency signals, (ii) store decoded radio frequency signals as transmitted data files, and (iii) render the transmitted data files accessible to at least one user computing device through a wireless network connection.

Systems for harvesting, storing, and sharing data files

A mounting assembly includes a DIN rail for removably securing a number of electrical switching apparatus such as, for example circuit breakers, to a panel member of an electrical enclosure. First and second mounting members extend outwardly from first and second ends, respectively, of the DIN rail. Each mounting member has at least one lateral protrusion. The first and second mounting members are, for example, a number of first resilient legs and a number of second resilient legs, respectively, each of which is structured to bias a corresponding one of the lateral protrusions into engagement with one of the coupling elements of the panel member. The DIN rail, the number of first resilient legs, and the number of second resilient legs are structured to removably secure the circuit breakers to the panel member of the electrical enclosure, without requiring a number of separate fasteners.

Electrical enclosure, and panel assembly and mounting assembly therefor

A system and method for a gravity-driven powered generator having at least one envelope filled with a buoyant gas is provided. The gas containing envelope has an escape valve allowing a portion of the buoyant gas within the container to escape. When a critical amount of gas has escaped from the envelope, the envelope descends along a support beam via gravity. The descending envelope is connected to a power generator. A valve on a reservoir containing the buoyant gas is then opened and the gas may refill the envelope. The filled envelope containing the buoyant gas then rises with respect to the outside environment. The rising envelope then ascends along the support beam until a portion of the gas in the envelope is released and the process repeats itself.

Gravity based power generator

A base assembly is provided for a meter socket assembly of a meter center including an enclosure having a panel member. The meter socket assembly includes a meter. The base assembly includes a base member having a first side coupled to the panel member, a second side disposed opposite and distal from the first side, and first and second ends. Meter jaws are disposed on the second side of the base member and receive the meter. Electrical bus members are coupled to the base member at or about the first side thereof, and are electrically connected to at least one of the meter jaws at or about the second side thereof. The electrical bus members are coupled to and supported by the base member of the base assembly, without the use of a number of separate fasteners. A meter socket assembly and meter center are also disclosed.

Base assembly, and meter socket assembly and meter center employing the same

An adjustment assembly adjustably couples enclosures, such as a meter breaker panelboard and a load distribution panelboard, in a back-to-back configuration within a structure, such as a wall. The adjustment assembly includes a first end member at or about the top end of one of the enclosures, a second end member at or about the bottom end of the other enclosure, and at least one fastener coupling the end members together. A number of elongated apertures in at least one of the end members, such as slots and arcuate apertures, provide translational and pivotal adjustment, respectively. The fastener, which may comprise bolts and wingnuts to enable such adjustment without requiring separate tools, extends from one enclosure through at least one of the elongated apertures in the end member of the other enclosure in order to couple the enclosures together while enabling adjustment of one enclosure with respect to the other.

Adjustment assembly for back-to-back enclosures, and back-to-back enclosure assembly employing the same

An adapter is for mounting an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker, on the back panel of an enclosure, such as a switchgear cabinet. The back panel has at least one aperture. The adapter includes a first end portion coupled at or about the aperture of the back panel, an engaging portion engaging and securing the circuit breaker to the adapter, a fastener, and a second end portion disposed distal from the first end portion and including an elongated slot. The elongated slot receives the fastener in order to couple the adapter to the back panel when the fastener is fastened, while enabling adjustment of the adapter and the circuit breaker coupled thereto, with respect to the back panel, when the fastener is unfastened. The first end portion, the engaging portion and the second end portion form a single piece adapter. An enclosure assembly is also disclosed.

Adjustable adapter for mounting electrical switching apparatus and enclosure assembly employing the same

A lifting device ergonomically and safely lifts an object having an elongated aperture. The lifting device includes a lifting member having a first end with a handle portion for gripping by a user and a second end with an object-engaging portion for securely engaging the elongated aperture. A stabilizing member coupled to the lifting member adjacent the object-engaging portion is structured to stabilize the object while moving it. A panelboard employs one or more lifting devices which engage elongated apertures thereof.

A removable spacing stabilizer for a jaw meter bus assembly having two pairs of generally parallel flat, elongated busses, each bus having a cantilevered second leg. The removable spacing stabilizer includes a generally planar member made from a generally rigid, non-conductive material. The planar member has a positioning slot for each of the bus cantilevered second legs. Whereby the planar member may be coupled to said jaw meter bus assembly with each bus cantilevered leg disposed in a positioning slot and whereby the bus cantilevered legs are held in a selected orientation.

Jaw spacing stabilizer

Moisture-resistant flange structures and side assemblies are for an outdoor electrical enclosure adapted to be mounted in an opening, for example, in the wall of a building. The moisture-resistant flange structures include flange elements disposed on side members of the outdoor electrical enclosure without having an aperture extending through the flange element and not having a passageway extending between the flange element and the side member into the opening. The moisture-resistant side assemblies include at least one adjustable generally L-shaped flange element coupled to the first and second side members by fasteners extending through elongated apertures in the adjustable flange elements. Extensions coupled to the side members overlap a portion of each side member and a portion of at least one of the at least one generally L-shaped adjustable flange elements and the elongated aperture extending therethrough.

Outdoor electrical enclosure and moisture-resistant flange and side assembly structures therefor

A meter/breaker arrangement having separate covers for the meter side and breaker side. The meter side includes as an extension thereof a rain gutter which underlaps a flange on the breaker cover to provide a rain-proof or water-proof enclosure when both covers are disposed securely on the enclosure. In addition, a locking arrangement is provided so that the breaker cover can be removed without allowing access to the meter region. Alternatively, both the meter cover and breaker cover can be removed. A flexible, partially non-electrically conductive, security member is provided for separating the meter side from the breaker side.

Combination meter/breaker panel enclosure with rain gutter and security system

An electrical distribution panel, such as a residential loadcenter, houses a plurality of circuit breakers that are adapted for electrically interconnecting power lines with loads. The loadcenter includes an enclosure having a window and a plurality of openings, and inputs adapted for electrical connection to power lines. A circuit breaker mounting mechanism houses a plurality of the circuit breakers in association with corresponding ones of the openings of the enclosure. A surge protector device is mounted within the enclosure and is apart from the mounting mechanism. The surge protector device is electrically interconnected with the inputs for protecting the loads from surges or transients on the power lines. The surge protector device includes at least one indicator, which is visible through the window of the enclosure.
