A first connected message is received, by a controller of a host vehicle, from a remote vehicle via a transceiver of the host vehicle. The first connected message indicates a first object along a roadway detected by the remote vehicle. Presence of a second object along the roadway is identified using sensors of the host vehicle. A probability function is utilized to determine a result indicative of whether to send a second connected message indicating the second object. The second connected message is sent responsive to the result indicating to send the second connected message. The second connected message is suppressed responsive to the result indicating not to send the second connected message.

Cooperative sensor sharing

An enforcement vehicle receives vehicle broadcasts from motorist vehicles, including vehicle identification information. The enforcement vehicle presents the identification information in a selectable manner on a display and receives selection of one of the motorist vehicles. The enforcement vehicle sends a communication request to the selected motorist vehicle and receives confirmation from the motorist vehicle, resulting in an open communication channel. Further, enforcement vehicle receives identification of information to be provided from the motorist vehicle and sends an information request for the identified information. Responsive to receiving a response to the information request, the enforcement vehicle, or a process associated therewith, determines whether information included in the response indicates compliance with a predefined requirement, and, responsive to non-compliance, alerts an occupant of the enforcement vehicle of the existence of and at least one characteristic of the non-compliance.

Systems and methods for vehicle smart negotiation and cooperation

A system and method for collaborative sensing metrics map generation, includes receiving sensing metric datasets from a first plurality of vehicles for each of a plurality of nodes having an assigned region for an area of interest. For each node, a determination is made whether a first threshold number of sensing metric datasets have been received in a last predetermined time window sufficient to provide sensing metrics for the node. Upon expiration of a predetermined period, a sensing metrics map for the area of interest is provided based upon sensing metric datasets received in the last predetermined time window to a second plurality of vehicles.

Collaborative sensing metrics maps

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) message-based vehicle tracking is provided. Connected messages including position, dimension, and heading of remote vehicles are received from the remote vehicles and collected by a host vehicle. A route of the host vehicle is used to filter the remote vehicles to those within an interest neighborhood of the host vehicle. A map is displayed, to an HMI screen of the host vehicle, including the route of the host vehicle and an overlay of the remote vehicles as filtered.

V2X message-based tracker application

Scheduling communications using a plurality of wireless interfaces is provided. Signals received from an antenna are monitored to detect a level of congestion over a message protocol. Responsive to the level of congestion exceeding a first threshold, a transmission mode is transitioned to a first mode which allows use of first and second subchannels for sending messages. Responsive to the level of congestion being below a second threshold, the second threshold being indicative of a lower level of congestion caused by message protocol traffic over the plurality of subchannels than the first threshold, the transmission mode is transitioned to a second mode which allows use of the first subchannels but not the second subchannels for sending the messages. One or more subchannels over which to send a first message of the messages are chosen in accordance with the transmission mode. The first message is sent using the antenna.

Adaptive out-of-band interference avoidance

A vehicle driving assistance system is disclosed. The system may include a transceiver configured to receive a source location and a destination location for a user trip, a user driving information and road information associated with a plurality of geographical zones between the source location and the destination location. The system may further include a processor configured to calculate a user driving index based on the user driving information. Further, the processor may be configured to calculate a zone index for each geographical zone based on the road information. The processor may be further configured to correlate the user driving index and the zone index, and calculate a driver assistance index for each geographical zone based on the correlation. The processor may perform a control action when the calculated driver assistance index is greater than a predetermined threshold.

Adaptive vehicle driving assistance system

A vehicle includes a wireless transceiver configured to communicate with an infrastructure device in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) channel having a predetermined channel frequency, the V2X channel being divided into a plurality of subchannels; and a controller, configured to responsive to the wireless transceiver detecting a wireless signal within the frequency of the V2X channel, measure a power spectral density (PSD) gradient of the wireless signal across at least two subchannels of the V2X channel, and compare a magnitude of the PSD gradient against a predetermined gradient threshold, and responsive to verifying the magnitude of the PSD gradient of the wireless signal is greater than the gradient threshold, identify there is an interference to the V2X channel.

Vehicle Wi-Fi access point detection and mitigation

A vehicle broadcasts a lane change intent message indicating parameters of a maneuver to be performed by the vehicle operating as a main traffic participant vehicle, the maneuver requiring use of a road resource. Response messages are received from recipient vehicles indicating approval or disapproval of performance of the maneuver. Responsive to one of the recipient vehicles returning a response message indicating conflict with use of the road resource required for performance of the maneuver, a conflict resolution procedure is performed between the main traffic participant vehicle and the conflicted recipient vehicle, the conflict resolution procedure using a pre-agreed identical conflict resolution algorithm executed on each of the main traffic participant vehicle and the conflicted recipient vehicle to each make a same distributed decision whether to proceed with the maneuver.

V2X traffic maneuver handshaking between traffic participants

Scheduling communications using a plurality of wireless interfaces is provided. Signals are monitored that are received from a first antenna configured to send and/or receive first messages over a first message protocol. Using the signals, time slot information is updated that is indicative of which equally-sized consecutive future time slots the first antenna is predicted to transmit and/or receive the first messages. A transmission is scheduled of a second message over a second antenna configured to send and/or receive second messages over a second message protocol using the time slot information to avoid out-of-band emission (OOBE) interference.

Multiple radio opportunistic scheduling

Performing validation of road usage charging (RUC) systems is provided. A hardware processor of a vehicle receives, from an HMI of the vehicle, input to enter into a testing mode in which a test of RUC functionality of the vehicle is to be performed. In the testing mode, RUC charges are computed for a route from a start location to an end location, based on map and fees information for the test. One or more reports of the charges are generated for verification of the RUC functionality, the charges being verifiable based on the route and the map and fees information being defined for the test.

Road usage charging system validation

Systems and methods for service drone landing zone operations are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining location-specific information for a location, the location-specific information including at least images of the location from at least one of a vehicle or a mobile device at the location, determining a landing area for a drone at the location using the location-specific information, receiving localizing signals from at least one of the vehicle or the mobile device as the drone approaches the location, and causing the drone to land in the landing area using the localizing signals.

Systems and methods for service drone landing zone operations

Systems and methods for operating done flights over public roadways are disclosed herein. An example method includes transmitting, by a first drone, a drone safety message, the drone safety message being received by a vehicle or a roadside infrastructure device located along a first planned flight path, determining an emergency condition for the first done, transmitting a warning message over a vehicle-to-everything communication that indicates that the first drone is experiencing the emergency condition. A connected vehicle or mobile device receives the warning message over the vehicle-to-everything communication. Determining drone operating evidence as the first drone traverses along the first planned flight path, and storing the drone operating evidence in a distributed ledger.

Systems and methods for operating drone flights over public roadways

A road resource is identified, according to one or more maneuver sharing intent messages received to the vehicle via a transceiver of a vehicle, where the road resource is contested between the vehicle and one or more other vehicles and includes a portion of a roadway to be traversed by the vehicle and also the one or more other vehicles. A conflict resolution procedure is performed to determine whether the vehicle gains access to the road resource, wherein the conflict resolution procedure is independently performed by each of the vehicle and the one or more other vehicles. One of the vehicle or the one or more other vehicles is granted access to the road resource based on the conflict resolution procedure.

Road resource conflict resolution algorithm

Systems and methods for operating drones in proximity to objects are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining a change in drone, flight status that involves a rotor of the drone being active, determining presence of a mobile device within a designated clearance area established around the drone, preventing the drone from landing, providing a warning message to a user of the mobile device to clear away from the designated clearance area, detecting that the mobile device and the user are not within the designated clearance area, and causing the drone to land.

Systems and methods for operating drones in proximity to objects

An infrastructure device includes a transceiver, programmed to communicate with a plurality of vehicles, wherein at least one of the vehicles is located within a distance defined from a location of the infrastructure device, and at least one of the vehicles is located outside the distance from the location of the infrastructure device; and a controller, programmed to measure a channel busy ratio (CBR) for communication with the plurality of vehicles, measure a package error rate (PER) for communication with one or more of the vehicles located within the distance, and responsive to the CBR being greater than a CBR threshold, or the PER being greater than a PER threshold, record an interference event into a log.
