Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for multicast communications that originate at a wide area network (WAN) using a first RAT to be provided to a local area network (LAN) that uses a second RAT that is used to complete the multicast communications to a user equipment (UE). A scheduler of the second RAT may use one or more parameters associated with the multicast communications to prioritize transmission of the multicast data to one or more UEs. The scheduler of the second RAT may prioritize the multicast communications with other communications of the second RAT based on one or more of a number of clients served, a quality of service (QoS) or bandwidth of the multicast communications, a capability of the UEs, one or more other data flows, a feedback scheme associated with the multicast communications, or any combinations thereof.

Multicast traffic scheduling across multiple radio access technologies

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for coordinating sleep modes between a wireless local area network (WLAN) access point (AP) and a cellular modem of an access point. In one aspect, the access point may obtain, from the cellular modem, information relating to a radio resource control (RRC) state transition or one or more power-saving events of the cellular modem and may select a power mode for the WLAN AP of the access device in accordance with the obtained information. In some implementations, selecting the power mode for the WLAN AP may include configuring the WLAN AP to either accept or reject a sleep mode request from a station (STA) served by the WLAN AP. As such, the access device may communicate with the STA using the WLAN AP in accordance with the accepted or rejected sleep mode request.

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for spatial stream optimization using dynamic bandwidth. A WiFi scheduler of an access device, such as a customer premises equipment (CPE), may obtain communication parameters about a cellular connection of the access device, such as bandwidth part (BWP) information or start and end markers of downlink data transmissions over the cellular connection. The access device may select a number of spatial streams (NSS) for wireless local area network (WLAN) communications according to the received communication parameters pertaining to the cellular connection, and communicate with one or more stations (STAs) over a WLAN connection using the selected number of spatial streams.

This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for transmitting, to one or more local area network clients of the device, a multicast message indicating an available network slice, receiving, from a first local area network client of the one or more local area network clients based on the multicast message, a request to access the available network slice, establishing, at the device based on receiving the request, a connection associated with the available network slice, and transmitting, to the first local area network client based on establishing the connection, a confirmation to access the available network slice.
