The disclosure relates to a device for cooling components. The device includes a main body and cylindrical and/or conical cooling fins which are formed in the main body and around which a coolant may flow, wherein the cooling fins are formed in parallel first rows and equally spaced apart from one another. Neighboring first rows are arranged offset from one another in the row direction in such a way that the axes of neighboring cooling fins of the neighboring first rows are offset by at least 25% of the hydraulic diameter of the cooling fins. The disclosure also relates to a converter and an aircraft including a device of this type.

Cooling components, converter, and aircraft

The disclosure relates to an electrical drive device having: an inverter including an inverter unit for each phase; a control unit configured to control the inverter units by application of vector control; and a rotating electrical machine having a stator that includes a plurality of phase windings connected to the inverter units. Each of the phase windings includes a first part-winding and an electrically isolated second part-winding. The inverter units include a first phase module and a second phase module. The phase modules deliver the electrical phase assigned to the respective inverter unit in a separate and a mutually electrically isolated manner. The first part-winding is electrically connected to the first phase module and the second part-winding is electrically connected to the second phase module.

Electric drive device

In a method for balancing an energy storage system, a capacitance of capacitive storage modules of a series circuit of capacitive storage modules is determined. The capacitive storage modules are connected to a balancing device to allow control of a charge of each of the capacitive storage modules via a flow of current between the balancing device and the capacitive storage modules. For each of the capacitive storage modules a module charge is determined from a voltage of the capacitive storage module and a predefined balancing voltage. A reference charge is determined from the module charges of the capacitive storage modules, and a balancing charge is determined for each of the capacitive storage modules from the reference charge and the module charge of the capacitive storage module. The charge of the capacitive storage modules is controlled by exchanging the balancing charge between the capacitive storage module and the balancing device.

Method for symmetrizing an energy storage system

A hybrid driving system for a vehicle including a generator connected to an internal combustion engine () which is linked to an electric driving motor () by means of a generator frequency converter, an intermediate voltage circuit and a motor frequency converter. An energy-storage reservoir () is connected to the intermediate voltage circuit. The intermediate voltage circuit is divisible into two partial intermediate circuits () by means of a first switch (). Each partial intermediate circuit includes at least one driving motor () connected by means of the corresponding motor frequency converter. For the purpose of adjusting the hybrid driving system, when the voltage (U) in the energy storage reservoir () is lower than the voltage of the corresponding intermediate voltage circuit, the first switch () arranged between two intermediate circuits () switches off the link and the first switch () becomes an open conductor only.

Hybrid drive system and method for controlling a hybrid drive system

A hybrid drive system is for a vehicle and includes an intermediate circuit and an energy accumulator. The energy accumulator is connected to the intermediate circuit by way of a diode, whereby a transistor enabling current to flow in an opposite direction is connected parallel thereto. The transistor is placed in a blocking position in order to discharge the energy accumulator and the diode enables current to pass. If the energy accumulator is not used, the diode is also blocked by increasing the voltage of the intermediate circuit with the aid of the voltage on the energy accumulator. In order to charge the energy accumulator, the transistor is conductingly switched. The diode does not allow the current to pass in this direction.
