A wind energy systemcomprises a wind tunnel modulehaving openingsandat opposite ends. The openings have substantially the same cross-sectional area although the cross-sectional area of the wind tunnel moduledecreases from the openingsandin a direction toward an intermediate portionof the tunnel module. The intermediate portionhas a substantially constant cross-sectional area. One or more wind turbines with equal or different number of blades may be mounted in the wind tunnel in or adjacent to the intermediate portion. The intermediate portionis bendable to enable the moduleto conform to a roofof any pitch.

Wind energy system

A base tilecomprises a substratehaving a first surfaceand an electrical connection systemsupported by the substrate. The electrical connection system comprises a plurality of conducting posts. Each postextends from a bottom surfaceof the base tiletoward the first surfaceof the substrate. A free endof each post enables electrical and mechanical connection to a photovoltaic tile. The electrical connection systemalso includes a electrical conductorsthat electrically connect the poststogether.

Base tile

An electrical connection systemcomprises a railand a plurality of electrically conducting postsfixed to the rail. The railis in the form of a tube or rod provided with complimentary electrical connectorsandat opposite ends. Each postis coupled to a railby a short transverse link. A fittingis provided at a free endof each postto facilitate mechanical and electrical connection with a through hole terminal. Pairs of railsmay be disposed side by side to form nominal positive and negative rails with the posts of the railsinterleaving each other and in mutual alignment. In some instances, photovoltaic tilesthat include holesandforming conductive terminals are fitted over posts
