A support assembly may be configured for connections with, adjustment along, and removal from a track assembly. The support assembly may include a support member and/or an electrical connector. The electrical connector may be adjustably connected to the support member and adjustable to a first position and a second position relative to the support member. The electrical connector may include a first contact configured to engage a first conductor of said track assembly. The first contact may be engageable with said first conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position. The electrical connector may be configured such that the first contact is disposed at a distance from said first conductor when the electrical connector is in the second position. The first contact may be movably connected to the electrical connector such that the first contact is movable relative to the electrical connector and the support member.

Track system with a support member

A support member may be connectable in a removable and adjustable manner to a track assembly. The support member may include an electrical connector, a contact, and a biasing member. The electrical connector may be adjustable to a first position and a second position. The contact may be connected to the electrical connector and configured to engage a conductor of said track assembly. The contact may be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position. The contact may not be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the second position. The biasing member may be configured to bias the contact into engagement with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position.

An electrical connector includes at least one base body with at least one contact portion and at least one connection portion. The connection portion is provided for fastening an electrical conductor. The base body is made of a first material, and a layer of a second material is arranged in a surface area of the contact portion. An electrical connector that ensures reliable electrical contacting even under heavy mechanical stresses is realized by applying the layer of the second material by means of roll cladding or an additive manufacturing process.

Electrical connector and method of making an electrical connector

The female electrical terminal includes an attachment piece. The attachment piece has a terminal body that is located around a terminal axis and defines an interior space. The terminal body has one or more flanges located on opposed sides of the terminal axis. The terminal body also has one or more body stops located on opposed sides of the terminal axis. The female electrical terminal also includes a contact piece. The contact piece has a contact body located around the terminal axis. A plurality of contact arms extend from the contact body at least partially in the interior space. The contact body is located at least partially between the flanges and the terminal axis. The contact piece also includes contact stops engaged with the body stops.
