A pump system for generating a volume flow of a dialysis solution in a dialysis machine, the pump system includes at least one piston pump having a piston that cooperates with a working fluid, which exerts a force on a conveying means, and in particular on a membrane. The pump system includes setting means, with which a conveying volume of the at least one piston pump per piston stroke can be reduced, with the setting means having at least one of a position-variable mechanical piston stop to reduce the piston stroke, means to reduce a quantity of the working fluid, and means to reduce a volume of a conveying chamber that cooperates with the conveying means and that contains the dialysis solution to be conveyed.

Pump system, dialysis machine, and method of operating a pump

A medical device having a heater with at least one heating element which has mains voltage applied to it by a heating control unit. The heating control unit includes a monitoring arrangement and a switching arrangement. The monitoring arrangement can recognize the zero crossings of the mains voltage, and the switching arrangement can switch the at least one heating element on or off in the zero crossing. The heating control unit controls the power of the heating by switching on and off of one or more half cycles of the mains AC voltage.

The present invention relates to a dialysis machine having a coupling surface for the coupling of a fluid system, in particular for the coupling of a cassette, and having an actuator arranged on the coupling surface for the movement of an actuator region of the fluid system. In accordance with the invention, a heating element is now provided for the heating of the actuator, with the liquid being able to be heated via the actuator in the actuator region of the fluid system.

Dialysis machine

A dialysis machine, in particular a peritoneal dialysis machine, to which a fluid system having a multi-chamber container with at least two chambers with individual solutions separated by a partition arrangement to be opened mechanically can be coupled includes a controller and at least one sensor for the determination of a measured variable in the fluid system. The controller has an apparatus for the automatic checking of the proper opening of the partition arrangement with reference to the measured variable determined by the sensor.
