A convertible top includes a linkage assembly that is movable between an extended position and a retracted position, with a mid position defined therebetween. A spring system assists movement of the linkage assembly from the extended position to the mid position and also from the retracted position to the mid position.

A convertible vehicle with a movable roof and at least one movable cover part that in its closed position, covers a receiving area for the opened roof situated in the auto body and which can be moved up by at least one drive element is provided. The at least one drive element is arranged on a fastening device that can be mounted on the auto body which is also a support for at least one control unit, a hydraulic pump and connections of control lines leading to the drive units for roof movement. A multifunctional holding or fastening device with several connection flanges to accommodate at least one control unit, a pump, and connections for emerging hydraulic lines is also provided. The multifunctional holding device is designed as a support for at least one drive element for a cover part of a compartment top of a convertible vehicle.

Convertible

Disclosed is a convertible () comprising a movable roof () that is provided with a flexible cover (), at least in the rear area () thereof. The rear zone of said flexible cover () is retained on a stretching hoop () which can be displaced upward from a stretching position forming the closed roof (). At least one flexible stretching device () is assigned to the cover () in lower edge areas that are located in front of the stretching loop () relative to the direction of travel (F), said flexible stretching device () applying a tensioning force to said edge areas when the roof () is closed.

This invention relates to a cabriolet vehicle with a roof with a flexible cover in at least parts of its area, including a front roof area which can be stored in the same orientation as in the closed state in a body recess, which is bounded on the rear by an edge of the auto body. The outer surface of the front roof area is separated relative to the rear roof area lying farther rearward and provided with a cover, and the rear edge of the front roof area is adapted to the trend of the edge of body bounding the body recess on the rear.

Cabriolet vehicle

The invention relates to a cabriolet car () comprising a roof provided with a flexible cover () at least in the rear part thereof, wherein the cover () being in a closed position can be tensionally supported with respect to a body () with the aid of a tension bow (). In order to open the roof (), the tension bow () is displaced to the closed position thereof, wherein said bow is arranged on a closed support element (A) of the body (), first upward (AS) and, when the support element is open, backward (RS) and subsequently to the open position, wherein said tension bow is arranged under the plan of the closed support element (A) being displaced downwards (AV). Said invention provides for a first displacement center () for displacing the tension bow () upwards and backwards (AS, RS) and a separate second displacement center for displacing said tension bow downward (AV). When the tension bow is displaced downwards rotating around the second displacement center, the displacement thereof around the first displacement center () is inhibited.

Cabriolet car

The invention relates to a cabriolet vehicle (), with a roof (), comprising a flexible cover (), at least in the rear part thereof, whereby the cover () may be held in tension against the chassis (), by means of a tension stay () and the tension stay () rests on one or several supports () in the open position, embodied such that the support(s) () are fixed on one or more bracket(s) (), connected to a roof frame (), attached below the cover (), before assembly thereof on the chassis ().

Apparatus suitable for use in convertible vehicles may include a convertible top comprising a substantially rigid front portion that moves downwardly towards and releaseably engages a windshield frame of the vehicle in order to close the convertible vehicle. At least one dampening device may be disposed at a rear portion of the convertible top and may be operably coupled to the front portion in order to slow downward movement of the front portion during a final phase of a convertible top closing operation. Further, the dampening device may be operably coupled between two pivotably connected linkages provided within the rear portion of the convertible top. The two pivotably connected linkages are preferably arranged and constructed so that the opening distance between the two linkages increases when the front portion is moving downwardly towards the windshield frame.
