The present invention relates to a source node, a target node and methods for supporting re-distribution of load from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless network, wherein the target cell is a combined cell comprising a plurality of spatially separated sectors that are configured for downlink and/or uplink communication on a same carrier frequency. Performed in the source node, the method comprises receiving, from the target node, a load report comprising traffic load in one or more of the plurality of spatially separated target sectors comprised in the target cell. Reference signal measurements defining radio conditions for one or more of the target sectors comprised in the target cell are retrieved from one or more wireless devices served by the source node.

Inter-frequency load balancing

There is provided mechanisms for determining frequency location of a primary cell (PCell) for a wireless device in a carrier aggregation supported communications network having access to a group of low frequency bands and a group of high frequency bands. A method is performed by a network node. The method comprises acquiring an uplink load level for the group of low frequency bands. The method comprises acquiring a pathloss level between a wireless device served by the communications network and the network node. The method comprises selecting, from the acquired uplink load level and pathloss level, which one of the group of low frequency bands and the group of high frequency bands to place the frequency location of the PCell for the wireless device.

Frequency location of a PCell

A method, system and device load balancing in a telecommunications network is provided where a selection of one or more User Equipments (UEs), to be relocated from a source cell to a target cell is based on a prediction value of the performance in the target cell. The prediction of the performance in the target cell is performed by mapping the current load of the target cell and a current detected signal of the target cell, into a perceived performance, perceived by UEs that have been relocated previously. After relocation of the UE the perceived performance in the target cell is measured and fed back by the target cell radio base station (RBS) to the source cell RBS, and used for updating the predicted performance value.

A method in a first network node for handling traffic tracing of a user equipment. The first network node is comprised in a first Radio Access Technology, RAT, system. The first network node starts a handover procedure to handover the user equipment from the first RAT system to a second RAT system. The user equipment has an active traffic tracing ongoing in the first RAT system. The traffic tracing relates to tracing associated with communication between the user equipment and the first RAT system. There is provided a method in a radio base station for handling cell reselection for a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communications network. The present invention relates to a method in a RN node of a communications system operating on multiple carrier frequencies. In a radio network which employs adaptive antennas for transmission of data to mobiles methods and apparatus are provided for improving the reception of transmitted data. When a block is to be transmitted in a first beam of the antenna and the block contains information for the mobile in the second beam, a modulation and coding scheme is used for the transmission of the block such that the modulation and coding scheme provides greater protection to the portion of the block containing information for the mobile in the second beam. The use of greater protection for the portion of the block which includes information for the mobile in the second beam increases the probability that the mobile in the second beam can receive and correctly decode the information intended for the mobile in the second beam in the block.
