Provided are systems and methods for generating a hierarchy. In one example, a method includes receiving a first data graph including a plurality of nodes and links connecting the plurality of nodes, receiving a second data graph including a second plurality of nodes and links connecting the second plurality of nodes, generating a hierarchy based on the first data graph and the second data graph, where the generated hierarchy includes a plurality of levels, nodes from the first data graph arranged on at least one level, nodes from the second data graph arranged on at least one other level, and links connecting the nodes from the first data graph and the nodes from the second data graph, and indicating a relationships between the first and second data items, and outputting the generated hierarchy for at least one of display and further processing.

Dynamic hierarchy generation based on graph data

System and method for determining demand distribution for safety stock planning

A method and system for interactively exploring data objects is provided. A user action selecting a portion of a first one of the data objects. The selected portion of the first one of the data objects comprising at least one attribute correspondingly mapped to a meaning. At least one query is retrieved, the at least one query comprising at least one input parameter correspondingly mapped to the meaning associated with the at least one attribute of the selected portion. In response to a user selection of the retrieved query, a value of the at least one attribute of the selected portion is passed as input to the retrieved query. A search request is generated based on the retrieved query with the passed value as the input parameter to obtain at least a second data object representing supplementary data related to the first one of the data objects.

Method and system for interactively exploring data objects

Methods and apparatuses enable creating a stateful simulation process with stateless messages. A stateless message instantiates a simulation object for a system to be simulated. The simulation object is identified by an identifier. Activity request messages, which are stateless, identify the simulation object identifier and can thus be associated with the simulation object. Results of execution of requested activities are stored in the simulation object, and thus persisted in the simulation object. In one embodiment, the persisting of simulation results in the simulation object allows the simulation data to be isolated from the active system data. In one embodiment, results of the execution of the simulation are merged in whole or in part with the active backend data.
