A motor pump unit for a high-pressure cleaning appliance is provided, in which the cleaning liquid conveyed by the pump assembly is used for cooling the motor, comprising a motor housing which surrounds the motor, and a cooling channel which surrounds the motor and through which the cleaning liquid can flow for heat dissipation. To provide a motor pump unit having a level of electrical safety which is higher than that of a conventional motor pump unit, the cooling channel surround the motor housing, and the motor pump unit comprise at least one thermally conductive spacer element by way of which the cooling channel is spaced from the motor housing. A high-pressure cleaning appliance is also provided.

A high-pressure cleaning appliance with a high-pressure pump is provided. The pump has at least one pump chamber connected to a suction line and a pressure line. The pressure line is in flow connection with the suction line via a return flow line. A relief valve with a through-channel extending from a valve inlet to a first valve outlet is arranged in the return flow line. A valve element which in a closed position bears against a valve seat is held for movement in the through-channel. At least one outlet channel, which opens into a second valve outlet, branches off from the through-channel. The valve element is surrounded by a sealing ring which seals off an inlet area of the through-channel adjacent to the valve inlet from an outlet area of the through-channel adjacent to the first valve outlet.

High-pressure cleaning appliance

A pump for a high-pressure cleaning apparatus for delivering cleaning liquid is provided. The pump has at least one pump chamber into which at least one reciprocally movable piston plunges. The pump chamber is connected via at least one inlet valve to a suction conduit and via at least one outlet valve to a pressure conduit. A bypass conduit leads from the pressure conduit to the suction conduit. A bypass valve is arranged in the bypass conduit. The valve body of the bypass valve is connected to a control member which displaces the valve body to a closed or an open position and displaces a switch plunger which is coupled to the valve body to a first or a second switch position. The valve body opens a passage upstream of the valve seat which becomes wider when the valve body is at a predetermined distance from the valve seat.
