In some examples, a method includes controlling a first set of switches to deliver a first voltage signal through a first set of capacitors to a common node. The method also includes controlling a second set of switches to deliver a second voltage signal through a second set of capacitors to the common node, wherein the first set of capacitors is electrically connected to the second set of capacitors by the common node. The method further includes measuring a time duration to discharge the common node. The second voltage signal includes an opposing polarity to the first voltage signal.

A disclosed circuit arrangement may include a power detector. A multiplexer circuit may be coupled to the power detector. The multiplexer circuit may include at least two switching sections, one of the switching sections to pass a radio frequency (RF) signal generated based on a first modulation scheme to the power detector and another of the switching sections to pass an RF signal generated based on a second modulation scheme to the power detector.

In a phase control loop, an output signal which is used to control an oscillator in a PLL or a phase-delay device in a DLL is generated by means of a phase/frequency detector. In accordance with the invention, the oscillator or the phase-delay device is controlled by means of a control signal which is made up of a controlling component and an adjusting component. The controlling component is generated as a proportional function of the output signal, whereas the adjusting component is generated as a proportional function of the low-pass-filtered output signal. At low frequencies, the loop gain is higher in this case for generating the adjusting component than for generating the controlling component, which means that the output signal and the component parts through which it passes can be operated at their optimum operating point, at the centre of the range of variation for example. The adjusting component may be generated by both analog and digital procedures.
