A method is for producing activated carbon. The method includes: a) mixing a carbonaceous precursor with chemically activating agents to obtain a feedstock mixture; b) producing activated carbon by heating the feedstock mixture under the atmosphere of a physically activating gas; and c) performing suitable post-activation treatment of the produced activated carbon. Step a) includes in sequence the sub-steps of: i. addition of a first chemically activating agent to obtain an impregnated precursor; and ii. addition of a second chemically activating agent to obtain the feedstock mixture. An activated carbon species is obtainable by the method. The activated carbon species may thus be tuned to have a pore size distribution optimized for use in a carbon electrode.

Method for producing activated carbon

An installation apparatus for installing a liner in a subterranean formation includes a housing having an internally arranged flexible member operatively connected to a bore-forming device at one end and to a control module at another end. An opening is arranged in a housing wall through which the flexible member and device may be passed. A liner is arranged around at least a portion of the flexible member between the opening and a first support member. The first support member is arranged to move inside the housing in a direction towards the opening, and a second support member is configured to movably support at least a portion of the flexible member in the region between the control module and the first support member. A method of installing a liner in an inverted drainhole is disclosed.

Installation apparatus and method

A device and a method for selective control of fluid flow between a flow pipe () of a well and surrounding rocks (). The flow pipe () is provided with at least one flow-through particle filter () placed externally on the flow pipe () and between the flow pipe () and the rocks (). The filter () is connected in a flow-through manner to the flow pipe () via a flow channel (). The characteristic of the invention is that the flow pipe () is provided with an imperforated pipe wall inside of and vis-a-vis said flow channel () when installing the flow pipe () in the well. Then the flow pipe () may be perforated selectively inside of the flow channel () for one or several filters () along the flow pipe (), whereupon fluids may flow through the flow channel () and the filter () via perforation apertures () in the flow pipe ().
