A polyolefin pipe having a polyolefin base resin (A) including a lower molecular weight fraction and a higher molecular weight fraction, stabilized with at least one stabilizer (B) having a formula: and at least one stabilizer (C) having a formula: wherein the substituents are as described in the specification. The composition demonstrates acceptable stability and low migration of additional additives from the pipe.

Polyolefin pipe with improved migration behaviour

A construction element for a plant for capture of an acidic gas using an aqueous amine absorbent, wherein at least a part of a surface of said element comprises a polyolefin, and a hydrolytically stable antioxidant, is described. Additionally, a liner comprising said polyolefin and the hydrolytically stable antioxidant, is described. The construction element may be a column, a pipe, an insert, like a column packing element or a tray. An apparatus for capturing COusing the construction elements, is also described.

The present invention provides a cap or closure comprising a polypropylene composition, wherein said composition comprises: (i) a random propylene ethylene copolymer having an ethylene content of 3.3-7% wt, and (ii) an additive selected from an antistatic agent, an antioxidant, an acid scavenger and a nucleating agent.

The present invention relates to a polyolefin composition with good resistance to degradation caused by chlorine dioxide-containing water and at the same time showing low migration of the used additives and its decomposition products, especially phenols, out of the composition. The present invention is also directed to a pipe made of such a polyolefin composition. The present invention further relates to the use of the polyolefin composition for the production of a pipe and to the use of a combination of particular types of antioxidants for increasing the resistance of a polyolefin composition against degradation caused by contact with chlorine dioxide-containing water and for maintaining at the same time a low migration of the used additives and its decomposition products, especially phenols, out of the polyolefin composition.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising: a) a polyolefin (A); b) a compound (B) according to formula (I), wherein R and R' each is the same or different residue and comprising at least 6 C-atoms; c) a phenolic compound (C), having the formula (II) wherein R is an non-substituted or substituted aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbyl radical which may comprise heteroatoms, or R is an heteroatom; X is H, OH, and/or R&#x2032;; whereby R&#x2032; is a hydrocarbyl radical or hydrogen, and n is 1 to 4; and d) optionally, an UV-light stabilizer (D), wherein for the composition the total amount of migrated compounds (B), (C) and, if present, (D), as well as their decomposition products is equal to or less than 1.8 microgram per liter with a ratio S/V dmof 11.70 to 12.30, to the use of said composition for the production of a pipe and to a pipe comprising said composition.

The present invention relates to a polyolefin composition comprising (a) a polyolefin (A), (b) a vitamin E-type stabilizer (B) according to formula (I), wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 independently are H, or non-substituted or substituted aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbyl radicals which may comprise heteroatoms, and (c) a phenolic stabilizer (C) according to formula (II), wherein R6, R7 and R8 independently are non-substituted or substituted aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbyl radicals which may comprise OH-groups; and X1, X2, and X3 independently are H or OH, with the provisio that at least one of X1, X2 and X3 is OH, and (d) optionally, an UV stabilizer, to an article comprising such a polyolefin composition and to the use of such a composition for the production of an article.

The present invention relates to a polyolefin composition with increased resistance to degradation caused by ClO-containing water and to a pipe made of such a polyolefin composition. The present invention further relates to the use of the polyolefin composition for the production of a pipe and to the use of a combination of particular types of antioxidants for increasing the resistance of the polyolefin composition against degradation caused by contact with ClO-containing water.
