A bus adapter comprises: an interface unit configured to be connected to a Communication Module (CM), which is intended to communicated based on a first Communication Protocol (CP) such as CAN, via a first and a second signal lines, and to transceive bit signals through the first and the second signal lines; and a link control unit, connected to a data bus of a second CP, configured to transmit data stored in an outward buffer through the data bus, and to detect data from signals being carried on the data bus. The interface unit transmits data stored in an inward buffer to the CM via the second signal line in form of a format defined by the first CP and it drives the second signal line so that a bit string appears on the second signal line when the bit string is received through the first signal line.

Disclosed is a device that multiplies a first signal outputted from a CTLE and a second signal obtained by delaying the first signal by a predetermined time interval; produces a specific signal reflecting a temporal sum of the multiplied signal; determines gain control signal in a manner such that the difference between the specific signal and a predetermined target level is reduced; and provides the determined gain control signal to the CTLE so as to be applied to high-band boosting thereof. The time interval to be delayed corresponds to N (N is an integer equal to or greater than one) times a unit interval that is occupied by one symbol in the first signal.

Disclosed is a high-speed controller area network (CAN) communication system, which is compatible with a CAN communication system, using passband modulation. The system includes: a high-speed CAN controller configured to provide a standard CAN transmission bit stream and a high-speed CAN transmission bit stream; and a high-speed CAN transmitter configured to synthesize a passband CAN signal obtained by modulating the high-speed CAN transmission bit stream in a passband and a standard CAN signal based on the standard CAN transmission bit stream and to transmit it to a CAN bus.

A receiver includes a first mixer configured to provide an in-phase (I) component of a radio frequency (RF) signal to an I channel by down-converting the RF signal, a second mixer configured to provide a quadrature (Q) component of the RF signal to a Q channel by down-converting the RF signal, amplification means, arranged on the I and Q channels, configured to amplify the I and Q components, a mismatch estimator configured to convert the amplified I and Q components into a frequency domain, and estimate a gain mismatch value and a phase mismatch value on the basis of the converted components, and a mismatch compensator configured to compensate for mismatch of the received signal on the basis of the estimated gain and phase mismatch values.

A bidirectional turbo ISI canceller cancels precursor-ISI as well as postcursor-ISI in a received signal without incorporating a multiplicative feedforward equalization filter. This is accomplished by taking a three-step receiver design approach. In the first step, an optimal single-symbol RAKE receiver is designed to comprise a CMF, a codeword correlator bank, and an energy bias (EB) canceller under the assumption that no ISI is generated by preceding or trailing symbols. In a second step, a DFE is included for suppressing postcursor-ISI caused by a preceding symbol. Finally, a precursor ISI canceler is used to remove the remaining ISI caused by a trailing symbol. All three components may be integrated into a BTIC-based receiver applying turbo-iteration processing.

Bidirectional turbo ISI canceller-based DSSS receiver for high-speed wireless LAN

A wireless or wired communication system and method is provided including a transmitter and a receiver. A RF communication system in accordance with the present invention includes an apparatus and gain control method between RF receiver and baseband modem in case of a plurality of gain stages inside a receiver. The gain of each stage can be controlled by an integrated gain controller. The gain controller monitors the signal level of each gain stage to place its gain to optimal value. The gain control apparatus and method can be implemented in a digital AGC system. The gain controller accepts a signal implementing gain control and thus there is no stability issue. When distributed gain stages are present inside a related art receiver and separate gain control loops are used, stability issues can arise. In a preferred embodiment of an apparatus and method, the baseband modem decides the amount of gain control and adjusts the gain of certain gain stages by the proper amount.
