In the stator of a electric rotary machine in which heat conductive insulation resin is filled at the end portions of a stator coil, the material of a stator core, the stator coil, the heat conductive insulation resin and a frame is selected such that a linear thermal expansion coefficient &#x3b1;1 of the stator core, a linear thermal expansion coefficient &#x3b1;2 of the stator coil, a linear thermal expansion coefficient &#x3b1;3 of the heat conductive insulation resin being filled and a linear thermal expansion coefficient &#x3b1;4 of the frame satisfy a relation that &#x3b1;1&#x3c;&#x3b1;2 &#x3c;&#x3b1;4&#x2266;&#x3b1;3. A cooling medium path is integrally formed within the frame made from aluminum through die casting molding.

An automotive alternator comprises: a stator provided with a stator coil; a rotor supported for rotation in the stator to apply an alternative magnetic field to the stator; a regulator for regulating output; a rectifier for rectifying generated current; a plurality of housings holding the stator and the rotor; and a coolant path through which a coolant flows through at least one of the plurality of housings to transfer heat generated in the stator coil outside the automotive alternator. Fastening devices formed of a material having good heat conductance fasten the regulator and a heatsink for the regulator together to the housing at a position apart from the housing to transfer heat generated by the regulator to the housing. Thus, the automotive alternator can maintain a stable cooling ability in a hot atmosphere for a long time.

Alternator for vehicle

An alternator for use in an automobile includes brackets for supporting a rotation shaft at both sides of a rotor, being thermally connected to a stator for supporting the stator, while one side of the rotor is closed by a bracket. A cooling water passage is provided in the bracket, a cooling fan is provided on the closed side of the rotor, and a cooling fin provided opposing to the cooling fan and in vicinity of the cooling water passage, thereby enabling cool down of the stator and the rotor, effectively, with low noises, and thereby obtaining a high power output.

Alternator for use in a vehicle

An object of the invention is to, in a vehicular alternating current (AC) dynamo, reduce an influence of vibration on a brush during operation, thereby preventing the brush from wobbling, cracking or causing other damages, also to make the brush sufficiently exposed to cooling air during operation, thereby preventing the brush temperature from rising excessively. In the vehicular AC dynamo, by virtue of a pressing force produced upon a tubular cover integral with a fan guide being fixed to a rear bracket through a seal member, an abutting end surface of a projection of the tubular cover is axially abutted with an inner abutting surface of a recess of the brush holder for pressing and fixing said brush holder against and to the rear bracket. In addition, the side of the fan guide and the side of the brush holder are arranged to be flush with each other, and a labyrinth seal structure is constituted by a circumferential groove of an end flange and a cylindrical projection which is formed by both the tubular cover and the brush holder.

Vehicular alternating current dynamo

A fuel supply pump so structured that an electric motor section and a pump section are housed in a tubular casing provided with a pipe for connection with an external hose, and an opening of the casing is enclosed by an end cover integrally provided with a connection pipe and a terminal. The electric motor section comprises a holder made of an insulating material and consisted of a pair of parts divided about its axis, an armature held at both ends of the holder through bearings, field magnets held on the respective holder plates, yokes arranged to cover the gaps between the paired parts, and brush units arranged to be inserted in the respective holder parts. The pump section comprises a rotor mounted to one end of the axis of shaft of the armature, and a pump-housing fixedly arranged to cover the rotor. Both the electric motor section and the pump section are both covered with the casing, and the opening of the casing is covered with the end cover, so that both the sections are assembled together.
