An image forming apparatus () includes: an intermediate transfer belt (B) provided in a body housing (); an opening/closing unit (); a second transfer roller () provided in the opening/closing unit () and in contact with the intermediate transfer belt (B) when the opening/closing unit () is closed; a guide member () provided in the opening/closing unit () turnably and guiding a sheet to a contact area between the intermediate transfer belt (B) and the second transfer roller (); a conductive sheet () covering the guide member (); and a conductive spring () provided in the opening/closing unit () and biasing the guide member () toward the intermediate transfer belt (B) via the conductive sheet () to press the guide member () to the body housing (), wherein when the opening/closing unit () is opened, the guide member () is in contact with the conductive spring () by gravity.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus has an apparatus main body, a sheet conveyance passage, a cover member, a conveyance unit, a sheet tray, a first sheet feeding portion, and a feed unit. The sheet conveyance passage is inside the apparatus main body. The conveyance unit is inside the cover member and is supported to be pivotable between an open position and a closed position. The first sheet feeding portion has a feed unit. The conveyance unit has a swing guide of which a lower end part is swingably supported on the apparatus main body and which, in the closed position, is located in a first position to face the feed unit and constitute part of the sheet conveyance passage and, in the open position, is located in a second position to be located away from the feed unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a body, a conveyance unit, an image carrier, a transfer unit, and a pre-transfer guide. The body has a sheet passage for conveying sheets along inner and outer conveyance surfaces mutually facing. The conveyance unit includes the outer conveyance surface and is supported pivotably between an open position and a closed position relative to the inner conveyance surface. The transfer unit rotatably supports a transfer roller. The pre-transfer guide includes a first guide on the outer conveyance surface and a second guide on the inner conveyance surface. The first guide has a contact segment protruding toward the second guide. The first guide and the transfer unit are supported independently swingably relative to the transfer unit. The first guide is urged toward the second, and the distance between the two guide surfaces is restricted by the contact segment touching a contacted portion.

An image forming apparatus includes an optional device, a casing, an image forming section and a sheet conveyor device. The optional device performs optional processing. The image forming section is located inside of the casing and forms an image on a sheet. The sheet conveyor device conveys, to the optional device, the sheet with an image formed thereon by the image forming section. The optional device and the casing are fixed to each other. The sheet conveyor device is fixed to the optional device and the casing.

An image forming device includes a cover member, a conveying unit, a first rotor, a second rotor, a bearing unit, a biasing member, and a link member. The cover member includes a hook, and an opening/closing lever that moves the hook. The conveying unit is disposed on the inner side of the cover member, and is rotatably supported between an opened position and a closed position to the main body of the image forming device. The link member is swingably supported on the conveying unit, and is configured to engage with the bearing unit. By operating the opening/closing lever in a state where the conveying unit is in a closed position, the link member is pressed against the hook to swing so that the first rotor of the bearing unit should move in a direction away from the second rotor against biasing force from the biasing member.

Image forming device

An image forming apparatus includes a casing, a conveyance unit, an intermediate roller unit, and a guide section. The intermediate roller unit includes an intermediate roller at a facing surface thereof that faces a sheet conveyance path. The conveyance unit includes a conveyance roller at a facing surface thereof that faces the sheet conveyance path. The guide section guides movement of the intermediate roller unit relative to the casing such that the conveyance roller pushes the intermediate roller in association with closing movement of the conveyance unit relative to the casing to close the intermediate roller unit relative to the casing.

An image forming apparatus includes a cover, a conveying unit, and a sheet feeding unit. The cover is provided to be able to open and close an opening of a housing. The conveying unit is disposed adjacent to an inner side of the cover. The sheet feeding unit is disposed in an inner side of the conveying unit. The cover is rotatably supported to a pair of first bearings between an opened position and a closed position of the opening. The conveying unit is rotatably supported to a pair of second bearings, which are provided inward from the first bearings, in the same direction as an opening and closing direction of the cover and is detachably provided with respect to the housing at a position at which the conveying unit has rotated in the opening direction of the cover by a predetermined angle.

A sheet conveying device includes a sheet detecting sensor, a resist roller, a supporting member and a positioning member. The sheet detecting sensor is configured to detect a position of a sheet in a conveying path. The resist roller is configured to control a conveying timing of the sheet, based on a detection result by the sheet detecting sensor. The supporting member is configured to detachably support the sheet detecting sensor. The positioning member is configured to engage with the supporting member to position and fixedly attach the sheet detecting sensor, supported by the supporting member, at a normal position.

Sheet conveying device and image forming apparatus

A recording medium storage cassette includes a recording medium loading plate and a rear end cursor. The rear end cursor aligns rear end positions of recording media. The rear end cursor includes a cursor main body portion, an abutting portion that abuts rear ends of the recording media, a lock portion having a protrusion for engaging with a rack, and a biasing member disposed between the abutting portion and the lock portion so as to bias the abutting portion and the lock portion in a direction away from each other.

Recording medium storage cassette and image forming apparatus including same

A sheet feeding device includes a sheet guide portion disposed upstream of a nip portion so as to guide a leading edge of a sheet sent from a sheet storing portion to the nip portion, and a manual bypass guide member which extends from a manual bypass sheet feeder and has a leading edge portion disposed between the sheet guide portion and the nip portion and can be elastically deformed in up and down direction so as to guide a manual bypass sheet to the nip portion. The manual bypass sheet is guided by the manual bypass guide member toward the nip portion and is sent out by the feed roller to a sheet transport path.

Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus including the same

A sheet separation transport mechanism according to the present disclosure includes a sheet feed member, a separation member, a support member, a sheet member and a concave portion. The sheet feed member feeds a sheet in a transport direction. The separation member is pressed onto the sheet feed member. The support member includes: a separation member retaining portion; and a guide portion which guides lead edges of a plurality of sheets to the downstream side along the inclined surface. The sheet member is adhered from the guide portion so as to overlap the separation member and has a frictional coefficient lower than the separation member. The concave portion is formed in the shape of a groove in a position of the guide portion where the sheet member is adhered such that the depth of the concave portion is greater than the thickness of the sheet member.

Sheet separation transport mechanism, and sheet transport device and image forming apparatus including same

In an image forming apparatus, a pre-transfer guide () is provided immediately before a transfer nip portion formed by an intermediate transferring belt () and a transferring roller (). The pre-transfer guide () extends in a width direction of a sheet conveying path, and projections () are formed on opposite end portions of the pre-transfer guide () on sides outer than an area on which a sheet is conveyed. The intermediate transferring belt () is driven in a state where a tension is applied to some extent, so that it may bow in a thickness direction on a running path. However, in an area immediately before the transfer nip portion, the projections () retains a distance between the sheet and the intermediate transferring belt () to be greater than a predetermined distance.

A sheet transport path switching mechanism includes a movable guide to be moved rotatably about a support shaft parallel to the width direction of a transport path so as to selectively take either a main posture where the movable guide directs a sheet to the downstream side of a main transport path relative to a branch point, and a branch posture where the movable guide directs a sheet to a branch transport path. An engagement hook is provided in an apparatus body and supports a central region in the longitudinal direction of the movable guide to prevent the movable guide from being deformed due to interference with a sheet fed toward the branch transport path. The mechanism prevents deformation of the movable guide while facilitating reduction in material and production costs and adequately meeting requirements of waste treatment.
