An illumination optical system for endoscope includes a rod lens as an optical element. The optical element includes a proximal end surface through which light enters and a distal end surface configured to emit the light. The distal end surface includes a diffusion region configured to diffuse emitted light. The diffusion region includes a plurality of concave portions and a plurality of peripheral regions surrounding the concave portions. Each concave portion includes a plurality of inclined surfaces as total reflection surfaces that are inclined with respect to the distal end surface. Each peripheral region includes a transmission surface configured to emit light totally reflected by the total reflection surfaces after passing through the proximal end surface and light not totally reflected by the total reflection surfaces.

Illumination optical system for endoscope, optical adaptor and endoscope

A light transmission optical member for endoscope includes an incident surface provided at a distal end portion of an insertion section, light being made incident on the incident surface as incident light from a proximal end side of the insertion section, and an emission surface for emitting the light as illumination light. The emission surface includes a diffusing section that diffuses the emitted light. The diffusing section includes a plurality of convex-shaped sections extending in a predetermined direction on the emission surface. Each of the convex-shaped sections includes a first slope section having a first angle with respect to the emission surface, and totally reflecting the incident light, and a second slope section having a second angle smaller than the first angle with respect to the emission surface, and transmitting and emitting reflected light totally reflected on the first slope section and the incident light.

Illumination optical system for endoscope, optical adapter for endoscope, and optical element

An endoscope apparatus includes a removable optical adaptor and a main body optical system. The optical adaptor includes an aperture and includes a first group optical system having a negative combined focal length as a whole and a second group optical system having a positive combined focal length as a whole in order from an object side. The main body optical system includes an imaging lens configured to form an image of a light flux on an image pickup device, the light flux being transmitted through the adaptor from the object. The first group optical system includes a lens having an Abbe number of 35 or higher, and the second group optical system includes a lens having an Abbe number of 45 or lower.

An adaptor including: first and second optical systems; a prism comprising a mirror region, first light flux and second light flux from the respective optical systems, being incident on the prism, the light flux passing through the prism at a portion, the second light flux being reflected by a mirror region after passing through the portion, the light flux emitted from the prism to a region; and a light-shield at the region, the light-shield shields one of the first and second light flux and is disposed proximally to the prism relative to an imaging system of the endoscope when the adaptor is attached to an endoscope; the first optical system is disposed such that the first light flux is incident in a direction parallel to an optical axis, the second optical system is disposed so that the second light flux is incident in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis.

An illumination optical system is formed into a substantially U shape or a partial shape of the substantially U shape as a cross-sectional shape viewed from a distal end side of a longitudinal axis such that an observation optical system is arranged inside, and has a plane as an incidence surface on which light directed toward the distal end side from a proximal end side along the longitudinal axis is incident, a plane as an emission surface from which the light is emitted as illumination light toward a subject, and a reflection surface which is inclined to direct the light incident on the incidence surface toward the emission surface when viewed from the distal end side of the longitudinal axis.

An endoscope apparatus includes two optical path forming optical systems, an image forming optical system, two convex power sections including a convex section, provided in the two optical path forming optical systems, and disposed so as to emit emitted light from the two optical path forming optical systems to the image forming optical system, and an aperture member including two openings configured to transmit the light emitted from the two convex power sections. The centers of the two openings are respectively located on the optical axis side of the image forming optical system with respect to the two optical axes of the two optical path forming optical systems.

Image pickup apparatus and endoscope apparatus

The present optical system comprises a forward observation optical system, an entire lateral circumference-observation optical system, a variable stop arranged on the image side of the observation optical system, an image-forming optical system, and an image pickup element, and the variable stop is formed so as to be capable of switching an observation field of view at least to a first observation field of view including only a forward field of view and to a second observation field of view including a forward field of view with a narrower angle than that of the first observation field of view and a field of view of the entire lateral circumference. The observation optical system is arranged on the object side of the opening in the central position of the observation optical system. The variable stop intercepts an optical path for the observation optical system when an observation field of view is switched to the first observation field of view, and opens the optical path for the observation optical system when an observation field of view is switched to the second observation field of view.

Optical system

A stereoscopic optical system includes, at a distal end of an insertion part of an endoscope, a two-path forming optical system for forming two paths of rays involving a parallax, an image forming optical system for forming images out of light travelling along the respective paths of rays in the two-path forming optical system onto a common region, and an image sensor arranged at an image forming position of the image forming optical system. The stereoscopic optical system is further provided with a time-division path switching means that is capable of switching between the two paths of rays in a time-division manner so that only light coming from either one of the two paths of rays formed by the two-path forming optical system enters the image forming optical system.

Stereoscopic optical system, and optical apparatus for stereoscopic measurement, stereoscopic measurement apparatus and stereoscopic observation apparatus each using the same

An endoscope system has a light source apparatus and an endoscope including an illumination optical system and an objective optical system. At least the objective optical system of the endoscope is provided with an adjustable diaphragm, and in a light path in one of the light source apparatus, the illumination optical system, and the objective optical system, an insertable/retractable filter for observation for special light is provided. The adjustable diaphragm performs a closing operation or an opening operation only when the filter for observation for special light is inserted into the light path.

Endoscope system and lens unit

An illumination light application structure provided for irradiating an observation object with illumination light in an observation optical apparatus provided with an objective optical system inside a lens barrel whose top is configured into a slender shape, includes a wavelength converting element located in the proximity of a position of an entrance pupil of the objective optical system; a light source emitting light whose wavelength is converted by the wavelength converting element; and an irradiation device irradiating the wavelength converting element with the light emitted from the light source through the objective optical system.

Illumination light application structure and endoscope provided with the same

An optical system which can be detached and attached is constituted such that it is arranged at the object side of an objective optical system for endoscope in which an incidence pupil is arranged, and a middle image of the objective is formed at its inside, and in the arrangement state, the incidence pupil of the objective optical system for endoscope is relayed at a predetermined position which is more projected toward the utmost object side than a surface at the object side in the endoscope. (An incidence pupil which is conjugate with an incidence pupil is arranged at a position which is more projected toward the object side by a predetermined amount than a surface which is at the utmost object side in the endoscope).

Adaptor optical system for endoscopes and endoscope

There is provided a projector having a point light source disposed to an edge of an optical fiber for transmitting exciting light and including a fluorescent illuminant for emitting fluorescence by being exited by the exiting light, a light collecting optical system for collecting the fluorescence emitted from the point light source, a reflective display device for reflecting the fluorescence collected by the light collecting optical system and overlapping the fluorescence with an image signal, an outgoing aperture for stopping down the fluorescence overlapped with the image signal by the reflective display device, wherein the outgoing aperture and the point light source are disposed side by side in the vicinity of the front focusing surface of the light collecting optical system. With this arrangement, a bright projected image can be obtained while disposing the outgoing aperture and the point light source sufficiently near to each other, reducing aberration, and reducing the diameter of a collecting lens so that the overall size of the projector can be reduced.

Projector

The inner surface shape of a hole, in particular, the inner surface shape of a hole the entry of which is narrow and which becomes wider further in from the entry, can be measured at a high level of accuracy. An inner surface measuring apparatus is provided which comprises: a low coherent light source that outputs low coherent light in to two; a low coherent light dividing section that divides one portion of the low coherent light; a light path length adjusting section that adjusts a light path length of one of the low coherent lights divided by the low coherent light dividing section; a straight rod shaped probe that irradiates the other of the low coherent lights divided by the low coherent light dividing section from a front end section onto a measurement object arranged in a direction intersecting with the lengthwise direction of the probe; a low coherent light multiplexing section that multiplexes a low coherent light that returns having been reflected on the measurement object with the one low coherent light whose light path length has been adjusted by the light path length adjusting section; a light detector that detects the multiplexed low coherent light; and a rotation mechanism that relatively rotates the probe and the measurement object about an axis along the lengthwise direction of the probe.

Inner surface measuring apparatus

A 3-D image observation apparatus includes a reflection type image display panel that has a digital micro mirror device, a magnifying optical system, and at least two light sources. The light sources are positioned at different locations relative to the reflection type image display panel, with the micro mirrors of the digital micro mirror device being variable in tilt angle such that light from a first light source is reflected to the left eye of an observer when the left image is displayed on the display panel in a time-division manner, and light from a second light source is reflected to the right eye of the observer when the right image is displayed on the display panel in a time-division manner. In this manner, one does not need to wear special glasses in order to experience a wide-angle, 3-D viewing experience.

3-D image observation apparatus

An illumination light detecting optical system includes an element emitting excitation light; an insertion part of a long-narrow-shape; a fluorescence luminescence component arranged near a top of the insertion part; an excitation light guiding element which leads the excitation light emitted from the light emitting element to the fluorescence luminescence component; and a light detecting element which detects return light which is a part of the illumination light. The optical system is also provided with a pillar-shaped transparent component for irradiating illumination light arranged coaxially at a forward position of the fluorescence luminescence component; an illuminating-light-extracting-element for extracting the illumination light from the pillar-shaped transparent component, out of the illumination light which enters into the inside of the pillar-shaped transparent component; and a deflecting element by which the extracted illumination light is directed toward the light detecting element.
