An end member which is disposed in an end portion of a columnar rotating body mounted on an image forming apparatus main body, comprises: a tubular bearing member; and a shaft member held by the bearing member, wherein the shaft member includes a rotating shaft which is disposed in the bearing member, and moves in an axial direction, and a rotating force receiving member which is provided with an engagement hook that is disposed in one end portion of the rotating shaft, swings with respect to an axis of the rotating shaft, and is engaged with a driving shaft of the image forming apparatus main body.

An end member is disposed at an end portion of a columnar rotating body mounted on an image forming apparatus body. The end member includes a tubular bearing member and a shaft member held by the bearing member. The shaft member includes a shaft-like rotating shaft which is disposed coaxially to the bearing member, and which rotates around a shaft line with respect to the bearing member to move in a direction of the shaft line, and a tip end member which is disposed coaxially to the rotating shaft, and at which a rotating force receiving member having a tip end provided with an engaging member which engages with a driving shaft of the image forming apparatus body is disposed. A rotating force around the shaft line is transmitted to the rotating force receiving member, the rotating shaft, and the bearing member in order.

A method for remanufacturing a printer cartridge component is provided. The method provides a printer cartridge component having an assembled organic photoconductor (OPC) drum with a flange portion and a cylinder portion. The flange portion has a cylinder engagement end attached and inserted in a locked position with a flange lock in a first end of the cylinder portion. The method further unlocks the flange lock so that the flange portion is in an unlocked position in the first end of the cylinder portion. The method further secures the unlocked flange portion. The method further removes the cylinder portion from the secured unlocked flange portion to obtain a removed cylinder portion and a removed flange portion. The method further assembles the removed flange portion with a replacement OPC drum cylinder portion to obtain a remanufactured printer cartridge component.

An object of the invention is to provide a photoreceptor drum exceedingly advantageous for obtaining clear images free from positional image shifting and image blurring. In the invention, a photoreceptor drum is constituted of a drum main body and a first and second flange members to be attached respectively to both lengthwise-direction ends of the drum main body. The drum main body is constituted of a cylindrical body and a photosensitive layer formed on the surface of the cylindrical body, and the cylindrical body has a fitting hole formed in each end thereof. The first and second flange members have cylindrical parts to be fitted into and fixed to the fitting holes in the drum main body, and further have shaft support parts. The photoreceptor drum has been formed so that the radial deflection thereof based on a central axis L connecting the centers of the shaft support parts of the first and second flange members is 15 &#x3bc;m or less.

The present invention prevents the deterioration of electrophotographic photoreceptor properties due to non-uniform dissolution of the surface of an aluminum substrate or production of hydrates during rinsing or drying from hot pure water in an aqueous cleaning process, assuring the uniformity and stability on the surface of an electrically-conductive substrate for electrophotographic photoreceptor. The resulting electrically-conductive substrate for electrophotographic photoreceptor exhibits an excellent corrosion resistance that can be expected to provide a high environmental stability. Further, the resulting electrophotographic photoreceptor can exhibit improved electrical properties. The present invention provides a novel electrically-conductive substrate for electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy, wherein the element ratio of aluminum in metallic form to aluminum in oxide form on the surface of said substrate as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 1:1 to 1:2.5 and the element ratio of aluminum to phosphorus on the surface of said substrate as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 1:0.02 to 1:0.1.
