In accordance with an embodiment, a printer according to the embodiment includes: a holder of a rolled print medium. The holder includes a moving member that is provided to be slidable on a shaft member to be inserted through a support hole of the rolled print medium in an axial direction and includes a guide member that can stand and fall with respect to the shaft member. An image forming apparatus includes a vertical transfer path and a horizontal transfer path, which is continuous to the vertical transfer path. A fixing roller is brought into contact with the vertical transfer path and heats and melts toner of the toner image. According to an image forming apparatus of the present invention, a developer filling opening is formed in an end of a casing which is provided with a developer-filled section, a holder section is arranged round the developer filling opening to hold a developer cartridge, guides are arranged adjacent to the developer cartridge holder section to guide the developer cartridge to the developer cartridge holder section when it is inserted into a developing unit from one side thereof, and the developer cartridge is attached to the developer cartridge holder section, when the developer-filled section with developer D in the developer cartridge, said developer consisting of toner T and carrier C mixed at a predetermined rate. The filling of developer or toner can be therefore more easily and quickly achieved without detaching the developing unit from the image forming apparatus. In addition, the developer and toner cartridges can be more easily and quickly attached to the developing unit from one side thereof when viewed in the horizontal direction.

A copying apparatus includes a housing in which are arranged an image carrier and an exposure unit both for emitting light to an original placed on the original stand to form an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier and for emitting light to the image carrier to erase the electrostatic latent image. A reflector is located around the lamp and directs the light emitted from the lamp toward the original. A liquid containing abrasives is projected through nozzles under high pressure upon the surface of an object to be treated such as sheet steel to descale and clean the surface thereof, and the projected abrasive liquid is recovered so that abrasives of suitable particle sizes may be reused.
