A sealing mechanism for a container opening having a cylindrical opening disposed on a container body and a cap for sealing the cylindrical opening. The cap includes a screw-on cap body and an upper lid for sealing the cylindrical opening. The cap body and the upper lid are independent of each other so that the cap body can be rotated without rotating the upper lid and are engaged by a concave/convex portion. When the cap body is moved away from the container, the cap body slidably abuts on the upper lid, and pushes up the upper lid to open the cylindrical opening, and when the cap body moves toward the container, the cap abuts on the upper lid and pulls down the upper lid to re-seal the cylindrical opening.

A packing package includes a gusseted container formed from laminated films and having opposite side walls and gussets extending between the opposite side walls, and a spout attached to an opening in the gusseted container. The laminated film forming either the two opposite side walls or the gussets is provided with a heat insulating barrier. The laminated film forming the gussets is not provided with any heat insulating barrier when the two opposite side walls are formed from the laminated film provided with a heat insulating barrier. The laminated film forming the two opposite side walls is not provided with any heat insulating barrier when the gussets are formed from the laminated film provided with a heat insulating barrier.

Packing container

A coupling piece coupling a cap body and a band is prevented from being cut off to tampering and the cutting-off thereof due to deformation of the band. An open/close cap a cap body to be screwed to an outer peripheral surface of a mouth portion of a pouring spout and a band extending in the circumferential direction of the cap body and engaged with the pouring spout, the band being formed with at least one portion at which the bandcircumferentially separated, the end of the band being connected by a connection piece at that portion at which the band is cut off. The band is disposed below the lower surface of the cap body and coupling pieces are attached to the lower portion of the cap body. A band shape maintaining member is disposed to the lower end of the cap body.

Open/close cap and manufacturing method thereof

A packaging material capable of having a desired sealing strength with ease and a packaging bag using such material are provided. A packaging material, which serves as either one of a first and a second packaging materials to be heat-sealed to each other, includes a sealing portion. This sealing portion is relatively weaker in sealing strength and composed of an applied area of a coating agent preventing the heat sealing and a non-applied area of the coating agent. The applied area and the non-applied area are changed in an area size from each other depending on the sealing strength required for the sealing portion.

A beverage container configured from a front and a rear surface portion, a base portion, and a pair of gusset portions. The gusset portions configure side portions of the container by being sealed to mutually confronting edge portions of the front and rear surface portions and the base portion. The upper portions of the front and rear surface portions configure a neck portion that has a more slender shape than the remainder of the front and rear surface portions and that extends in a single direction. A notch is formed in the edge sealed portion of the neck portion. The front and rear surface portions are sealed directly together at a predetermined region corresponding to the notch without the gusset portions existing therebetween. A straw extends from and is positioned within the neck portion. The neck portion can be opened from the notch.

A gusseted bag for medicinal or medical purposes comprises a gusseted bag body formed of a plastic film into a hollow shape; and a sealed portion formed at a bottom of the gusseted bag body. The plastic film is a laminate composed of a plurality of layers. The innermost layer of the plurality of layers essentially consists of polyethylene.

A bag for an infusion solution has front and back wall portions each formed of a flexible plastic film and provided with a plurality of chambers which are filled with one infusion solution and another infusion solution or medicament, independently. The chambers are sectioned by a boundary portion having at least one weak seal portion which is closed by separably bonding inside surfaces of the plastic films mutually facing at the boundary portion so that the one infusion solution and the another infusion solution or medicament in the respective chambers are mixed together when the weak seal portion is opened. The weak seal portion is formed by applying a separable coating material, which provides a reduced bonding strength in a heat sealing process, on one or both inside surfaces of the plastic films mutually facing at the boundary portion and then effecting heat sealing process to the boundary portion. The separable coating material is applied in a form of a dot-pattern through a printing process.

Bag for infusion solution and method of manufacturing same

The bag for bag-in-box of this invention comprises: a bag body composed of flat portions and side portions each having a folding line along which the side portion is folded inward; oblique seal portions provided at respective corner portions of the bag body, the oblique seal portion being formed by obliquely cutting-off the respective corner portions; and a triangular fin portion integrally formed with the oblique seal portion; wherein the flat portion and the side portion are composed of several sheets of synthetic resin films that are superposed to each other. The dimensions of the bag shall be set within a predetermined range so as to meet the International Standard of a pallet. The opening portion to be formed on the outer box of the bag-in-box has a size enabling to sufficiently draw out a spout and the bag body portion around the spout to form a funnel-shape. According to the present invention, there can be provided an inner bag for a bag-in-box excellent in shock resistance, content discharging property and self-supporting property at a time when the inner bag is filled with the content.

A pouch adapted to accommodate medicine or the like comprising first and second compound films forming front and back surfaces of a pouch. Each of these compound films is composed of a resin film having a predetermined tear strength and a resin film having a good heat adhesive property and the first mentioned resin film is provided with a linear slit on one side thereof having un-cut portions. These compound films are overlapped with each other with the resin films having the heat adhesive property being disposed inside so as to oppose each other and with the slits formed to the resin films of the compound films forming the front and back surfaces of the pouch being coincident with each other in positions. The compound films are then heat fused. When a pouch is formed by these compound films, the pouch has an orientation capable of being torn in a direction corresponding to an extending direction of said slit. The orientation of the pouch along which the pouch is liable to be torn is made in consideration of the orientations of the resin films forming the compound films.

Pouch

A pouch for containing therein a content including front and rear pouch bodies formed of a laminated film, and heat-sealed portions at confronting side edge portions of the front and rear pouch bodies for providing a fluid tight structure of the pouch. The pouch is characterized in that: the laminate film includes uniaxial oriented plastic film layer provided with molecular orientation in one direction, and at least two notches are formed at positions close to each other at least one of the heat-sealed portions for defining a leading end portion of a tearing zone. The notches are directed in a tearing direction parallel with a direction of the molecular orientation of the laminated film.

In the sealing of a glass container containing a product such as a food product by means of a cover comprising a metal foil having on one surface thereof a sealant layer of a thermoplastic resin, the opening end of the container is preheated, and the cover is placed on the opening end, after which the cover is pressed against the opening end successively by a heating plate and a separate pressing plate. By this process, a positive seal and a high sealing process efficiency are obtained even when the container content is a product such as a heated liquid food product and even when the rim surface of the opening end of the container has some projecting irregularities.

Process for sealing glass container openings

A heat-sealing sheet material can be obtained by forming, on one side of a sheet base material such as aluminum foil, a sealant layer composed of a graft copolymer comprising a trunk polymer of a 20 to 60% saponification product of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of 15 to 45% by weight and a branch polymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid in a proportion of 10% by weight or less of the partially-saponified product. This sheet material exhibits excellent heat-sealing strength with respect to glass containers, and, moreover, there is almost no decrease in the sealing strength even when the material has been in contact with water. Accordingly, the sheet material is suitable as a sealing material for the opening rims of glass containers for water-containing food products such as jams and pickles.
