A gas sensor element which may be employed in measuring the concentration of gas such Ois provided. The gas sensor element is of a laminated type and designed to introduce gas to be measured into a measurement gas chamber through a diffusion resistor. The measurement gas chamber has a volume of 0.15 mmin order to facilitate expelling of the gas remaining within the measurement gas chamber during transition of thermal activation of the gas sensor element.

Gas sensor incorporating a multilayered gas sensing element

A gas sensor element which may be employed in measuring the concentration of gas such O, NOx, or CO. The gas sensor element consists of an electrochemical cell made up of a solid electrolyte body formed by a partially stabilized zirconia and a pair of electrodes disposed on the solid electrolyte body. The electrochemical cell is subjected to an aging treatment in which the dc current is applied to the electrodes at a given voltage to enhance the activation of the electrochemical cell.

Gas sensor element

A measured gas side electrode is provided on one surface of a solid electrolytic substrate so as to be exposed to a measured gas. A reference gas side electrode is provided on an opposite surface of the solid electrolytic substrate so as to be exposed to a reference gas stored in a reference gas chamber. A water-vapor absorbing member is provided in the reference gas chamber.

Gas sensing element and gas sensor

A matrix type display is provided in which information is transmitted to a flat panel display element such as a liquid crystal or electroluminescent panel utilizing optical communication. Synchronization signals are transmitted from a synchronization circuit to scan electrode driving circuits through optical communication utilizing a plurality of pairs of light-emitting elements and light-receiving elements facing each other, and image data is transmitted from a memory circuit to signal electrode driving circuits through non-interfering optical communication signals utilizing a plurality of opposing pairs of light-emitting elements and light-receiving elements.
