Coated seeds covered with a water repellent and a coating layer formed thereon, the water repellent being attached to the seed surface with or without a binder. The coated seeds have a high germination percentage even when sown in a field where the content of soil water is high.

Multi-coated seeds having two or more coating layers, with the innermost coating layer containing a water repellent such as a fatty acid or a metal salt thereof in higher concentration than the other layer(s).

An improved thermoforming process for the production of formed articles of corrugated plastic board having small radius curvatures and deep drawings, which comprises heating said corrugated plastic board at the portions to be formed into small radius curvatures or deep drawings more intensively than at the other portions, and applying pressure to said portions thereby crushing the rib structure in said portions without crushing the rib structure in said other portions.

Thermoforming process of corrugated plastic board

In an irrigation hose which is produced by melt-sticking double thermoplastic resin film in a plane along longitudinal parallel lines so as to form 2 to 3 passages, one a supply passage and others being constant pressure passages, the supply passage being connected to each constant pressure passage by communicating holes which are formed by non-melt-stuck portions spaced in the melt-stuck line between both passages, and the constant pressure passage having water-irrigating holes which are formed by non-melt-stuck portions spaced in an outside melt-stuck line thereof, the improvement which comprises making small melt-stuck portions in the vicinity of the communicating holes and/or water-irrigating holes.

Irrigation hose

Equipment for producing a pipe having a longitudinally extending diaphragm which partitions the interior of the pipe into two conduits. This equipment comprsises a die head with a circular slit to extrude the tubular body of the pipe and a flat slit to extrude the partitioning diaphragm. Means are provided to deform that diaphragm at spaced apart intervals along its length so as to intimately contact one of the pipe walls at those intervals. This means may be a nozzle having an opening for expelling a fluid against the diaphragm while it is still in a plastic state or a movable plate similarly positioned.

Equipment for producing special pipes

A method for producing a pipe, preferably of thermoplastic comprising a tubular body longitudinally partitioned by diaphragm into two conduits and having barriers projecting from the diaphragm into one of the conduits at the positions spaced along the length of the conduits and extending to contact intimately with the inside wall of the conduit. This pipe is useful as a hose for transporting liquid or for irrigation.
