Provided is a technology for enabling smooth execution of a plurality of pieces of application software which perform communication via a communication path. A connection device includes: a storage unit which stores type priority level information for specifying a priority level assigned in advance for each type of a process, usable communication system information for specifying a usable communication system for each process, and sharing propriety information for specifying whether or not the communication system is sharable among a plurality of processes during the same period of time; a plurality of communication units which communicate to and from another device with use of the communication systems different from one another; and a communication system allocation control unit configured to identify the usable communication system and allocate, when the identified communication system is not sharable, the process to use the communication system based on the priority levels.

Connection device and connection method using priority level information for a plurality of processes

Provided is a technology for enabling smooth execution of a plurality of pieces of application software which perform communication via a communication path. A connection device includes: a storage unit which stores type priority level information for specifying a priority level assigned in advance for each type of a process, usable communication system information for specifying a usable communication system for each process, and sharing propriety information for specifying whether or not the communication system is sharable among a plurality of processes during the same period of time; a plurality of communication units which communicate to and from another device with use of the communication systems different from one another; and a communication system allocation control unit configured to: use the usable communication system information to identify the communication system usable by the process to be started to be executed; and allocate, when the identified communication system is not sharable and a process in execution that is different from the process already uses the identified communication system, the process to use the communication system based on the priority levels.

An in-vehicle terminal sends a speech input from a voice input unit as a voice signal to a relay server using a short-range wireless communication unit. The relay server converts the voice data received from the in-vehicle terminal into a string with a voice recognition unit, and makes an inquiry, via a communication unit, to an address database of a database server as to whether the string is a geographical condition. If the string converted by the voice recognition unit is a geographical condition based on the inquiry result of the communication unit, a POI data base is searched based on the geographical condition and a stored non-geographical condition, and the geographical condition is stored in a search history. If the string is a non-geographical condition, the POI database is searched based on the non-geographical condition and the geographical condition stored in the search history, and the non-geographical condition is stored in the search history.

Search system

An in-vehicle terminal sends a spoken voice as a voice signal to a relay server, and the relay server includes a voice recognition unit which converts the received voice signal into a string, and a control unit which searches for information stored in a main database or a temporary storage database by using the string and sends a search result to the in-vehicle terminal, and, upon searching for information stored in the main database, stores the search result in the temporary storage database. Upon receiving a voice signal, when the search result is stored in the temporary storage database, the control unit searches for information stored in the temporary storage database by using the string converted from the received voice signal, and, when the search result is not stored in the temporary storage database, the control unit searches for information stored in the main database by using the string.

A terminal connection device includes: a storage unit configured to store a priority based on a type of processing information for performing input or output of information; a communication unit configured to receive from another device a processing request in which the processing information is identified; and an input and output path assignment unit configured to acquire, when the communication unit has received the processing request, the type of the processing information identified in the processing request, to identify, by using an external processing information priority, which is a priority based on the type, and candidates of usable input and output paths for each piece of the processing information, the input and output path for executing the processing information relating to the processing request, and to assign the processing information to the identified input and output path.

Inherent terminal identification information and a terminal unique key are stored in an on-board terminal, and server-side terminal identification information and a server-side terminal unique key, which are same information as the above terminal identification information and terminal unique key are stored in a server. And, the on-board terminal transmits the terminal identification information to the server via a communication terminal, and the server performs terminal authentication according to the server-side terminal identification information, and if the authentication is success, transmits encrypted software for the on-board terminal of which authentication was success to the communication terminal. The communication terminal transmits the encrypted software to the on-board terminal, and the on-board terminal obtains a software unique key, which is encrypted by the server-side terminal unique key by the server, via the communication terminal, decrypts the encrypted software using the software unique key, and installs it.
