In an information transmitting system for radio-transmitting information between a fixed station and a mobile station moved within a predetermined moving range, an antenna apparatus is provided on the fixed station side. The antenna apparatus includes a large number of unit antennas, each of which functions as an antenna. These unit antennas are mutually connected to each other, and are arranged along the moving range of the mobile station. The information is transmitted/received in a radio transmission mode between the mobile station and the fixed station via an antenna of the fixed station and the antenna apparatus.

A waveform equalization method whereby a transversal filter having 5 or more tapes is included, and a difference signal output, which is obtained when an isolated impulse response waveform of a digital modulated signal is inputted to the above described filter and the output of the filter is inputted to an adder, is allowed to have intersymbol interference at .+-.T/2 with respect to the central axis time and has zero outputs at .+-.nT/2 (where n.gtoreq.2 and n is an integer).

An automatic tape threading device for a magnetic recording and reproducing system wherein a leading tape member of a width larger than that of a magnetic tape for threading the magnetic tape in a cartridge through a path of travel of the magnetic tape including the outer circumference of a drum mounting a rotary magnetic head includes a joint member connected to one end portion of the magnetic tape in the cartridge and another joint member connected to one end portion of the leading tape member. The two joint members are brought into engagement with each other conjointly with the attaching of the cartridge to the magnetic recording and reproducing system, and then a takeup reel is actuated to withdraw the magnetic tape from the cartridge through the leading tape member, so as to thereby thread the magnetic tape through the path of travel of the magnetic tape.
