An eyeball microscope used for observing or photographing epitherial and endothelial cells and likes of a cornea, which is provided with an illuminating optical system for projecting an illuminating light beam onto an object, an observing optical system for observing or photographing an imaging light beam from the object and parallel slits moving across the optical paths of both optical systems, and arranged to scan the object with optical images of certain slits and, at the same time, to lead the imaging beam from the object through the same number of separate slits into the observing optical system, thereby shutting off all unwanted reflecting beams other than the imaging beam.

An eyeball microscope used for observing or photographing epithelial and endothelial cells and likes of a cornea, which is provided with an illuminating optical system for projecting an illuminating light beam onto an object, an observing optical system for observing or photographing an imaging light beam from the object and parallel slits moving across the optical paths of both optical systems, and arranged to scan the object with optical images of some of the slits and observe imaging beams from the object through other slits, thereby shutting off all unwanted reflecting beams. In this invention, it is suited for both eye observation and photography by composing the slits of plural groups which are mutually different in design.

The film magazine in the invention includes a pair of pinch rollers for pinching a film reeled out from a film roll container against a flat back tray of the magazine. Release means are provided to release the film from the pinch rollers at the time of mounting the film magazine onto the body of the camera. The pinch rollers are urged so as to pinch the film against the back tray after the film magazine is demounted from the body of the camera. This arrangement makes it possible to restrain the film in the film magazine until it is mounted to the body of the camera. Once the film magazine is mounted on the body of the camera, the restraining mechanism is automatically released to allow free movement of the film.

A system for focusing the subject which is beyond the close-up range limit of a camera lens including a distance detector detecting the distance between the lens and the subject, a focusing device for setting the lens at a focal point based upon the signal from the distance detector, an optical correction device for providing an auxiliary lens between the lens and correcting the light path of the light entering through the lens, and a distance remeasuring device for remeasuring the distance between the subject and the lens to shift the lens at the focal point.

An adaptor for use with an objective lens in an ophthalmological microscope comprises of an eyepiece member having an aperture defined therein for containing an impregnating liquid having a refractive index intermediate those of the objective lens and the cornea to be observed and a collar member for supporting said eyepiece member in fixed relation to the objective lens. The improvements wherein said collar member has a passage through which said impregnating liquid is adapted to be introduced into said aperture.

An electromagnetically operated shutter mechanism comprising first and second shutter members supported for movement in the opposite directions to each other for selectively closing and opening an exposure aperture. Permanent magnets are respectively mounted on the first and second shutter members. Cooperative with these permanent magnets are first and second solenoid coils for driving at least either one of the first and second shutter members accompanying corresponding movement of the other of the first and second shutter members. A camera having a superimposing device for superimposing data such as date of photograph taking on a film surface, includes a mechanism for projecting such data in a viewfinder. The superimposing device includes a first optical path for projecting a light image of the object onto an eye-piece of the viewfinder, a second optical path for projecting a light image of the data onto the eye-piece at one predetermined portion thereof and means for forming background for the data projected in the eye-piece.

A superimposing device includes a first optical path for projecting an image of an object to be photographed on a film surface, a second optical path for projecting data on the film surface at one portion thereof, and a blocking member for blocking the first optical path for forming a shaded portion at the one portion of the film during the exposure of the object image on the film, so that the data are clearly and definitely imprinted on the one portion.

An exposure adjusting mechanism in a compact photographic camera of a type utilizing roll film cartridges containing therein roll films of different sensitivity comprises a diaphragm mechanism for controlling the amount of the incoming light to be exposed on a frame of the film. The diaphragm mechanism includes a aperture setting slide supported for movement to any one of multiple positions representative of f-stop numbers. These positions of the aperture setting slide are defined by indicium on an aperture scale bar which is moved in response of any one of the film cartridges which are provided with actuators for operating a linkage system to move the scale bar. Depending upon the type of film cartridge loaded in the camera, some or all of the indicium on the scale bar are displayed to the sight of a photographer to show the available number of f-stop numbers and the type of film.
