A seamed felt for use in a machine for producing a tissue web has a single-layer or multilayer base structure and at least one layer of non-woven fibers. The base structure has a textile structure with MD threads which form seam loops at the two front edges of the base structure. The fabric can be made endless by connecting its front edges by way of a seam. The seam can be formed by interlocking the seam loops of the two front edges and introducing a push-in element. The MD threads wholly or predominantly have a diameter between 0.25 mm and 0.45 mm, in particular between 0.3 mm and 0.35 mm, and the thread density of the MD threads is more than 37%, in particular between 37% and 45%. There is also described a corresponding machine and a method for producing a tissue web.

Seamed felt and use of the seamed felt in a tissue machine

A basic structure of a clothing for a machine for producing or processing a fibrous web, in particular a paper, cardboard or tissue web. The basic structure has at least a first flat fabric of fabric type A and a second flat fabric of fabric type B, and, furthermore, two loop elements. The loop elements are formed in each case from a flat fabric piece which has a first portion of fabric type A and a second portion of fabric type B. The first portion is laid down on the second portion in such a way that the folding point is formed at a spacing of less than 5 cm, in particular less than 1 cm, from the changeover position between the fabric type A and the fabric type B. The first and the second flat fabric are arranged above one another, and the two loop elements are arranged in each case at a face-side, front end.

Basic structure of a clothing for a machine for producing or processing a fibrous material web and method for the production thereof

A fabric, in particular a felt, for use in a machine for producing a tissue web, has a base structure, which has a textile structure with MD threads, and at least one layer of nonwoven fibers. The MD threads predominantly or as a whole have a diameter ranging between 0.25 mm and 0.45 mm, in particular between 0.3 mm and 0.35 mm, and the thread density of the MD threads is more than 37%, in particular between 37% and 45%. There is also described a machine and a method for producing a tissue web using such a fabric.

Fabric and use of the fabric in a tissue machine

A fabric clothing, in particular a press felt, for use in a machine for producing a fibrous web, contains a woven fabric strip having interwoven longitudinal threads and cross threads, as well as having a first and a second longitudinal end. The two longitudinal ends of the woven fabric strip are connected to one another in a connection zone. Provision is made that the two longitudinal ends are welded to one another by a transmission welding, in particular by a laser transmission welding.

Fabric

A clothing, in particular a seam felt for a machine producing a fibrous material web, in particular a paper, paperboard, tissue or pulp web, includes a base structure including or formed of a two-layer laminate structure formed of one or more flat-woven fabrics. The laminate structure has MD threads forming seam loops at two end sides of the base structure, and the two layers of the laminate structure are connected to one another by the seam loops. The clothing is made endless by connecting the end sides by a seam. The seam is made by interengaging the seam loops of both end sides and introducing an insertion element. The diameter of the seam loops LD and the diameter of the associated MD threads MDYD have a ratio LD/MDYD of between 2.5 and 4, in particular between 2.7 and 3.6.

Clothing for a machine for producing a fibrous material web

A clothing for a machine for producing a fibrous web, especially a paper, cardboard, tissue or cellulose pulp web. The clothing has a basic structure with a top side and a running side as well as a nonwoven support at least on one side. The nonwoven support has a functional zone, which extends over more than 50 &#x3bc;m in the thickness direction of the clothing and which includes a first portion and a second portion of nonwoven fibers. The nonwoven fibers of the first portion are formed of, or include, a polyurethane, especially a thermoplastic polyurethane, while the nonwoven fibers of the second portion are a polymer material not including a polyurethane. The first portion makes up between 10 wt. % and 60 wt. %, of the functional zone. There is also described a method for production and a suitable nonwoven fabric.

Paper machine clothing, method for producing same, and nonwoven fabric

A process for preparing a seam area for a paper machine clothing (PMC) base fabric includes the steps of: forming the PMC base fabric by flat-weaving, the PMC base fabric including warp yarns extending in machine direction and weft yarns extending in cross machine direction and interwoven with the warp yarns, the weft yarns including first weft yarns and a second weft yarn, the second weft yarn being a multifilament yarn, the warp yarns, the first weft yarns, and the multifilament yarn being woven together on a loom in an original weaving process, the multifilament yarn being positioned in an anticipated seam area; and folding over the PMC base fabric, after weaving the multifilament yarn with the warp yarns, to form a seam loop of the PMC base fabric such that the multifilament yarn is a first one of the weft yarns on a sheet side of the seam loop.

Method for preparing a seam area for a PMC base fabric

A joining process for an endless or seamed press fabric, the joining process including the step of providing a woven base fabric having a plurality of monofilament yarns including warp yarns extending in a machine direction and weft yarns extending in a cross machine direction, the woven base fabric being cut along one of the weft yarns and having two opposing ends and two side edges. A predetermined number of the weft yarns are removed along each of the two opposing ends to free a plurality of cut ends of the warp yarns, fringing the ends. The plurality of free cut ends of the two opposing ends are interdigitated with each other and the cut ends opposing and adjoining one another are heat bonded to define a joint area.

Joining process for a papermachine clothing

A process for preparing a seam area for a PMC base fabric includes the steps of: providing a PMC base fabric including a plurality of warp yarns extending in a machine direction (MD) and a plurality of interwoven weft yarns extending in a cross machine direction (CD); removing a plurality of adjacent weft yarns from the PMC base fabric to define a window of warp yarns not interwoven with weft yarns, the plurality of warp yarns being interwoven with a plurality of weft yarns on either side of the window; folding over the PMC base fabric at the window such that each warp yarn substantially aligns with itself in the MD, and one or more weft yarns on one side of the window substantially align with a respective weft yarn on an opposite side of the window; and bonding together a portion of the PMC base fabric adjacent the window.
