A dispenser system for flowable material includes several interchangeable cartridge assemblies for retaining flowable material, each cartridge assembly including a dispensing piston sealingly and slidably retained within a cylinder, the cylinder having a distal cylinder dispensing end to which a material passing attachment can be sealingly mounted and having a proximal cylinder mounting end, and the piston including a piston head for creating the slidable seal within the cylinder and a piston drive mechanism connected to the piston; a drive structure for engaging and mounting the cartridge assembly and for progressively driving the flowable material out of the cartridge assembly and onto a target surface, the drive structure including a cartridge assembly engagement structure and having a piston drive mechanism which drivably and releasibly engages the piston drive mechanism upon fitting the cylinder to the engagement structure.

An apparatus for throwing and picking up a sphere. A user may employ the apparatus, for example, to throw a sphere. The user may also employ the apparatus to pick up the sphere without requiring any portion of the user come into contact with the sphere. The apparatus may include a claw or gripper for holding the sphere. The claw may have three or more prongs for gripping the sphere and may be attached to a handle. The handle may telescope from a retracted position to an operating position. The handle may include gripping surfaces to aid a user in holding the handle, and a clip for attaching the throwing apparatus to a belt, a hanger or other suitable support.

Ball throwing and retrieving device

A pneumatic playball which emits a series of strobe-like light flashes each time the ball is bounced by a player. The playball includes a spherical casing formed of flexible, translucent plastic material having internal plugs at the opposing poles of the sphere. Suspended between the polar plugs along the diametrical axis of the spherical casing is a light-flashing unit. The unit includes at least one light-emitting diode (LED) connected to a battery through an electronic blinker which each time it is activated, yields a series of voltage pulses which is applied to the LED to produce a series of light flashes. Activation of the blinker is effected by a motion sensing switch which closes to activate the blinker only when the ball is bounced or otherwise undergoes an abrupt change in velocity.

Flashing light pneumatic playball

A self-sufficient, blinking-light LED device formed by a decoratively-shaped casing having a LED projecting from its face, the casing being attachable to the shoe of an individual or elsewhere on his person whereby as the individual walks or jogs, the resultant changes in velocity cause the LED to be intermittently activated to create strobe light effects which attract attention. Housed in the casing is a D-C power source connected through an acceleration-sensitive make-and-break switch to the short leads of the LED, one of which forms the fixed contact of the switch. The movable contact is defined by a cantilevered flat spring having a weight attached to its free end. A change in velocity causes the spring contact to flex to momentarily engage the fixed contact to close the switch and activate the LED.

Blinking-light LED device

A talking, soft football for young children, which when caught by a player then emits an audible voice message or crowd roar sounds appropriate to the game of football. The football is formed by an elliptical casing of flexible plastic enclosing a core of compressible material. Nested in a cavity in the core is an electronic module, access to which is had by way of a longitudinal slit in the casing that is closable by a lacing so that the soft football looks like a regulation football. Housed in the module at one side thereof adjacent the inner surface of the casing are a miniature loudspeaker from which the voice messages and crowd roar sounds are emitted, and a piezoelectric sensor which generates a command signal only when the football is caught by a player and impacts on his hands. Also housed in the module are batteries and an integrated circuit chip powered thereby, the chip being normally quiescent and being activated by the command signal. Included in the chip is a solid-state data memory having digitally stored therein several different voice messages and crowd roar sounds, and readout means, which when the chip is activated then selects at random one of the messages or crowd roar sounds, and decodes and amplifies the selection to yield an audio signal which is applied to the loudspeaker and reproduced thereby.
