A part material for printing three-dimensional parts with an electrophotography-based additive manufacturing system, the part material including a composition having a grafted copolymer (including acrylonitrile units, butadiene units, aromatic units modified with polycarbonate and poly(styrene-co-maleimide)), a charge control agent, and a heat absorber. The part material is provided in a powder form having a controlled particle size, and is configured for use in the electrophotography-based additive manufacturing system having a layer transfusion assembly for printing the three-dimensional parts in a layer-by-layer manner.

Bio-based toner compositions that exhibit excellent performance and provide high print quality. More specifically, the present bio-based toner compositions comprise greater than 20% bio-resins but avoid the moisture sensitivity issues that bio-resins are prone to by also including one or more oil additives.

A process includes forming particles in a latex by emulsion polymerization of a mixture including one or more monomers in an emulsion, and about 4 percent or less by weight of the mixture of a non-surfactant-based charge control agent, the non-surfactant-based charge control agent is distributed within a matrix of the particles, and forming toner particles from the particles in the latex, the toner particles supporting a sufficient triboelectric charge for use under A-zone environmental conditions in a single-component development system.
