A first responder task-optimization system includes a network-connected server having at least one processor and data repository, software running on the at least one processor from a non-transitory medium, the software providing a first function for receiving evacuation-success notification information from persons evacuating from pre-specified locations in the path of the progression of a disaster, a second function for associating the received evacuation-success notification information to the pre-specified locations on at least one digitally rendered geographic representation of the area in the path of the disaster, and a third function for serving the at least one geographic representation including the associated notification information to first responders in the field.

Remote evacuation reporting interface for first responder duty optimization in the field

An alarm unit for providing warnings of multiple types of emergency situations includes a connector for connecting the unit to host electricity, a backup power source, receiver circuitry for receiving a broadcast warning, memory for storing digital alarm files, and a speaker for amplifying an executed alarm file. The receiver circuitry receives one or a combination of early warning system broadcast alerts, emergency band radio alerts, cellular network alerts, or data network alerts.

A trinocular apparatus is provided for sighting and photographing subjects in the field. The trinocular apparatus comprises a binocular viewing system and a third barrel focusing a common image on an image capturing device mounted to the binocular viewing system. Focusing for both the binocular system and the third barrel is managed by a common focusing apparatus. In a preferred embodiment images are captured electronically, and the trinocular apparatus includes apparatus for storing and transferring captured images.

A trinocular apparatus is provided for sighting and photographing subjects in the field. Images are captured electronically, and the trinocular apparatus includes a system for annotating captured images as well as apparatus for storing and transferring captured images. A text phrase is selected for use in annotating a non-text electronic file. Voice input such as a keyword is associated with a text version of the keyword which is matched to text words in stored text phrases, and the text phrases are then used to annotate the image.
