A preservative composition is described that may be used in personal care products and other products for protecting the products against bacteria and fungus during production and during use. The composition can about 3 to about 15% by weight of an organic acid; about 3 to about 15% by weight of a C-Cfatty alcohol; about 30 to about 60% by weight of an aromatic alcohol; and about 30 to about 60% by weight of an organic solvent.

Preservative compositions for formulations

A wiping composition and a wiping product containing the composition are disclosed. The wiping composition contains a combination of an antimicrobial agent with a preservative enhancing agent that not only provides antiseptic properties when applied to an adjacent surface, but also is well suited to preserving the substrate that is used to apply the composition. In particular, the composition has been unexpectedly found to inhibit or destroy bacteria, particularly, even when the active ingredients are used at extremely low levels.

Preservative composition for wet wipes

The present invention relates to a mouthspray formulation, which reduces oral bacteria and is effective against dental plaque, gingivitis and oral malodor. The preferred formulation has a bactericidal agent with cetyl pyridinium chloride and domiphen bromide, an alcohol, a sweetener component, and a flavor system. The flavor system may also have or more of the following: a flavorant, a humectant, a surfactant, a sweetener, and a colorant agent.

An antibacterial composition is provided that has an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a cationic conditioning agent, an antibacterial agent and water. Preferably, the composition is a liquid hand soap. The aqueous antibacterial composition, especially when an antibacterial liquid hand soap, has a proper balance of ingredients for providing a high cleansing ability, high foam, good conditioning and a pleasant emollient effect on the skin. The method of reducing amount of bacteria on part of a person's body, such as a hand, includes contacting the hand with the composition and, thereafter, rinsing the hand with water.
