A system ingests multiple roaming network updates for reconfiguring network subsystems of a network, and the network updates are received from multiple mobile network operators (MNOs). The system audits the network subsystems to determine a state of the network. For a particular network subsystem that includes multiple nodes located across different time zones, the system groups a set of updates across the multiple roaming network updates. The set of updates corresponds to the particular network subsystem. The set of updates is grouped for application to the multiple nodes across the different time zones. The system determines a maintenance window to update the state of the network based on the audit and applies, using an interactive shell client for the particular network subsystem, the set of updates to the particular network subsystem during the determined maintenance window. The applied updates permits user devices to roam on the network.

Smart suggestions relating to network configuration updates in response to roaming partner updates

A first mobile network operator (MNO) periodically retrieves roaming network updates for reconfiguring one or more network subsystems of a network operated by the first MNO. A portion of the roaming network update is retrieved from an operator master database (OMD). The roaming network update includes roam data associated with a second MNO and configuration data for the one or more network subsystems. The roam data is retrieved via IR.21 information from a cloud server associated with the second MNO. The roam data specifies one or more telecommunications carriers associated with the second MNO. The one or more network subsystems for reconfiguration are identified based on the roaming network update. The one or more network subsystems are reconfigured using the roaming network update to enable one or more user devices associated with the second MNO for roaming on the network.

Automated audits relating to network configuration updates in response to roaming partner updates

A system periodically retrieves roaming network updates associated with at least one mobile network operator (MNO) using an application programming interface (API), and periodically ingests IR.21 information from cloud servers associated with the MNOs. The system retrieves configuration data for at least one network subsystem of a network. The system then performs an event-driven audit of the at least one network subsystem based on the ingested IR.21 information and queries the at least one network subsystem to determine discrepancies between a current network state and the IR.21 information. To rectify the discrepancies, the system determines a change to the network and maps the determined change with a network configuration table. According to the network configuration table, commands are automatically executed to apply the change and rectify the discrepancies. The network change enables user devices to roam on the network.

Automated network changes relating to network configuration updates in response to roaming partner updates

System and methods for routing requests for both assisted communications and non-assisted communications with devices operated by deaf or hard-of-hearing (DHH) users using a single number are described. A network component may determine whether to use routing that directs such requests to an assistance system based on the type of communications requested and one or more identifiers in a request. If a communications request includes a DHH user device's identifier and communications type that are represented in assistance routing data, the network component may forward that request to an assistance system. Otherwise, the network component may route such a request normally. A DHH user may request a suspension of the assistance routing for a period of time and/or until reinstatement of the assistance routing is requested.

A communications system includes a network engine that communicates with a plurality of unsubscribed mobile wireless communications devices using a communications network for sending and receiving emails therefrom. A direct access server is operative with the network engine for polling electronic mailboxes of users and retrieving email from the electronic mailboxes and pushing any email through the network engine to selected user subscribed mobile wireless communications devices. This direct access server is operative for providing at least one pre-configured service offering to a user that is linked to mail-access parameters when a user configures their respective electronic mailbox.

An authentication token is received from the email server or other server if an authentication token is required. Access is attempted to the electronic mailbox of the user using the authentication token. The authentication token is stored for subsequent use by the user to access their electronic mailbox if access to the electronic mailbox using the token has been successful.

The communications system includes a network engine that communicates with the plurality of a user subscribed mobile wireless communications devices via a communications network for sending and receiving emails. A direct access server is operative with the network engine for polling electronic mailboxes of users from an email source and retrieving electronic messages from the electronic mailboxes and pushing any electronic mailboxes to the network engine to selected users subscribed mobile wireless communications devices. The direct access server communicates with an email source using the internet message access protocol (IMAP) and IMAP-Idle supportable connections to accept real-time notifications such that when a connection limit is reached or exceeded to an email source, the direct access server disables IMAP-Idle connections to the email source.

A system provisions an electronic mail (email) account of a user for allowing access to an electronic mailbox from a remote device to retrieve email. A communications module receives email address parameters of the user and transmits a domain name system (DNS) query to the Internet for returning mail exchange (MX) records corresponding to the email address parameters of the user. A configuration module processes any returned MX records as a starting point for determining configuration parameters for accessing the email account of the user to retrieve user email.

A communications system includes a network engine that communicates with a plurality of user subscribed mobile wireless communications devices via a communications network for sending and receiving emails therefrom. A direct access server is operative with the network engine for polling electronic mailboxes of the user belonging to an email source hosted by an email provider and obtaining email from the electronic mailboxes and pushing any email through the network engine to selected user subscribed mobile wireless communications devices. It includes an internal SMTP server that is configured for outgoing email and operative for specifying an SMTP server for communication belonging to an email provider given a SMTP server and protocol combination for the email source of the email provider to which communication is desired such that the internal SMTP server of the direct access server is not used.

A system, method and computer-readable medium provides configuration data, such as for electronic mail access. A configuration module retrieves the configuration data from a source of configuration data, such as a user system. The configuration in one aspect could be for accessing different electronic mailboxes of a user. Data object are generated. Each data object is submitted as a distributed object module to a web service. The web service in one aspect of the invention could be for a pass-through access for configuring electronic mailboxes.

A method of configuring a system for providing notification of a new email received at a user's mailbox stored by a first mail storage system for retrieval by a second mail storage system. The method comprises configuring a mail sender to send a notification email to the second mail storage system comprising data to notify the second mail storage system of the new email, receive a rejection message from the second mail storage system, and interrupt the sending of further data of the notification email in response to the rejection message, wherein the receipt by the second mail storage system of the notification email triggers the second mail storage system to retrieve the new email from the first mail storage system.

A system for provisioning an electronic mail (email) account of a user for allowing access to an electronic mailbox from a remote device to retrieve email includes a communications module that receives email address parameters entered by the user and transmits a domain name system (DNS) query to the Internet for returning mail exchange (MX) and address (A) records corresponding to the entered email address parameters of the user. A configuration module processes any returned MX and A records to determine whether the email address parameters entered by the user are valid before attempting to provision the email account of the user.

There is provided a method and system for notifying of new email received at a user's mailbox on a mail storage system. Said method includes: receiving the new email at a user's mailbox stored by the mail storage system; auto-forwarding the new email to a mail notification sender system; transmitting at least a portion of the new email to a mail notification receiver system; interrupting the transmission of the new email to the mail notification system with a pre-determined negative completion code; transmitting a bounced-mail email with said negative completion code from the mail notification sender system to the mail storage system.
