In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a network device configured to receive an anomaly database of a first image that stores a set of differences between the first image and a base image. The network device is configured to compare the anomaly database of the first image with an anomaly database of a second image storing a set of differences between the second image and the base image to determine if the first and second images include at least one incompatible critical feature or incompatible non-critical feature. The network device is configured to send a signal associated with a first action if the first and second images include the at least one incompatible critical feature. The network device is configured to send a signal associated with a second action different from the first action if the first and second images include the at least one incompatible non-critical feature.

Methods and apparatus for improving compatibility between network devices

The disclosed method for tunneling socket calls across operating systems may include (1) intercepting a socket call issued by an application running on a first operating system, (2) determining that the socket call is directed to a network interface that is (A) accessible to a second operating system installed on a virtual machine running on the first operating system and (B) inaccessible to the first operating system and then, in response to determining that the socket call is directed to the network interface, (3) tunneling the socket call to the second operating system installed on the virtual machine, and (4) executing the socket call within the second operating system to initiate at least one networking action with respect to the network interface on behalf of the application. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Systems and methods for tunneling socket calls across operating systems

A multi-router system is described in which hardware and software components of one or more standalone routers can be partitioned into multiple logical routers. The multiple logical routers are isolated from each other in terms of routing and forwarding functions yet allow network interfaces to be shared between the logical routers. Moreover, different logical routers can share network interfaces without impacting the ability of any of the logical routers to be independently scaled to meet the bandwidth demands of the customers serviced by the logical router.

A high speed serial interface comprises a rectilinear array of rows and columns of contact sites on a substrate. In the first four columns, pairs of transmitter and receiver contacts alternate row-by-row with pairs of ground contacts In the fifth column, there is a permanent (or hard) ground contact adjacent to each transmitter or receiver contact pair located in a row in the third and fourth columns and the remaining contacts in the fifth column are general purpose input/output (GPIO) contacts. As a result, up to 50 percent of the contacts in the fifth column may be GPIO contacts. In the sixth column, all the contacts are GPIO contacts.

One embodiment relates to an integrated circuit having a plurality of four-channel serial interface modules. Each of the plurality of four-channel serial interface modules includes a first physical medium attachment (PMA) channel circuit, a second PMA channel circuit adjacent to the first PMA channel circuit, a third PMA channel circuit adjacent to the second PMA channel circuit, a fourth PMA channel circuit adjacent to the third PMA channel circuit, and at least one phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit which is programmably coupled to each of the first, second, third and fourth PMA channel circuits. Other embodiments and features are also disclosed.

Heterogeneous high-speed serial interface system with phase-locked loop architecture and clock distribution system

A method for determining clock uncertainties is provided. The method includes identifying clock transfer types between registers from an integrated circuit design and identifying contributors to the clock uncertainties for each of the clock transfers. The jitter associated with each identified contributor is calculated for both set-up time and hold time. This calculated jitter is incorporated into a slack calculation to determine whether timing constraints are met for a circuit design.

Disclosed are apparatus and methods for providing a serial interface with shared datapaths. The apparatus and methods share or re-use components from multiple lower-speed datapaths so as to efficiently provide a higher-speed datapath. Apparatus and methods for serial interfaces with shared datapaths

A charge pump circuit includes switch circuit modules and current modules. The number of switch circuit modules that are coupled to receive current from one of the current modules is variable. The output current of the charge pump circuit increases as more of the switch circuit modules are coupled to receive current from the current modules. The net on-resistance of the switch circuit modules decreases as more of the switch circuit modules are coupled to receive current from the current modules. Charge coupling caused by the net parasitic gate-to-drain capacitance of switching transistors in the switch circuit modules is reduced at smaller output current settings of the charge pump circuit.
