This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced power management. A device may identify one or more first radio frequency waves received from a second device during a time period. The device may determine a first transmission power associated with a first radio frequency wave of the one or more first radio frequency waves. The device may determine a time-averaged power density associated with the one or more first radio frequency waves. The device may determine a transmission power limit. The device may send an indication of the transmission power limit to the second device.

Enhanced power management for wireless communications

A motor vehicle management system provides theft prevention based on contextual information. The motor vehicle management platform includes sensing equipment that can provide input data to determine a context of the vehicle and an operator of the vehicle. The context can include location information of the motor vehicle and an identity of the operator of the motor vehicle. Based on permissions for the operator, the system can determine if a context of the vehicle violates permissions for the identified operator.

Multi-modal context based vehicle management

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques and configurations for controlled power level adjustment of a wireless charging apparatus. In one instance, the apparatus may comprise a charging module to radiate an electromagnetic field to wirelessly charge an electronic device in proximity to the wireless charging apparatus; and a control module communicatively coupled with the charging module to adjust a power level of the electromagnetic field, radiated by the charging module, in response to a determination of an environmental condition in relation to the wireless charging apparatus. The control module may be configured to receive information indicative of the environmental condition from multiple sources distributed between the apparatus and the electronic device, and make the determination based at least in part on the received information. The environmental condition may comprise a presence of human tissue in proximity to the wireless charging apparatus. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Various systems and methods for initiating a communication session are provided herein. A system for initiating a connection session includes sensor array; a gesture detection circuit communicatively coupled to the sensor array, the gesture detection circuit to: detect an air gesture performed by a user of the system based on data from the sensor array; and determine a classification of the air gesture; and a transceiver to transmit a signal to a receiver associated with a receiver device, to initiate a connection between the system and the receiver device, when the air gesture is recognized as a triggering gesture to initiate the connection.

A self-adaptive security framework for a device is disclosed. A first security level for a device is set wherein the first security level comprises procedures that authenticate a user and allow the user to access the device. Input from sensors associated with the device may be received at a contextual sensing engine, wherein the input at least includes location data, and wherein at least a portion of the input is related to a physical setting where the device is located. A threat level for the device is determined in the physical setting via the contextual sensing engine based on analyzing the input. The first security level is altered to a second security level to provide an altered threat response for the device based on the threat level wherein the second security level has different procedures to authenticate the user compared to the first security level.

Self-adaptive security framework

A vehicular inductive power transfer system includes a power transmission unit and a power receiving unit. The distance between the units and the overall alignment of the units with respect to each other determines the overall efficiency of the energy transfer between the power transmission unit and the power receiving unit. Magnetic fields produced by the inductive power transfer system may exceed allowable standards or regulations for human exposure to electromagnetic fields. An inductive power transfer control circuit autonomously causes an actuator to position at least one of the power transmission unit or the power receiving unit in a three-dimensional space based on one or more measured power transfer parameters. Such positioning may occur while the vehicle is moving or stationary. The control circuit may further autonomously adjust one or more power transfer parameters to maintain magnetic field exposure levels at or below industry standards or governmental regulations.

Vehicular inductive power transfer systems and methods

An apparatus is described herein. The apparatus includes a power transmit unit coil and an active shielding coil. The power transmit unit coil includes a set of main windings, positioned at a first location on a structure, to carry a first current in a first direction, wherein the first current is to cause an electromagnetic field to emanate from the power transmit unit coil. The active shielding coil is positioned at a second location on the structure and is to carry a second current in a direction substantially opposite the first direction wherein the second current is to cause a reduction of the size of the electromagnetic field.

Techniques for focusing the energy radiated by a wireless power transmitting unit are described. An example power transmitting unit includes a transmitter coil configured to generate a magnetic field to wirelessly power a device within an active wireless charging area. The power transmitting unit also includes a power generating circuitry to deliver current to the transmitter coil to generate the magnetic field. The power transmitting unit also includes a shield disposed around the transmitter coil to reduce the strength of the magnetic field outside of the active wireless charging area.

A proximity sensing headphone may include a gyroscopic sensor to determine the motion of the headphone structure and a proximity sensor to determine the movement of an external object through a three-dimensional ambient environment. A proximity sensing headphone control circuit determines the relative motion or movement between the headphone structure in the three-dimensional ambient environment and the external object in the three-dimensional ambient environment to determine at least a distance between the headphone structure and the external object and a velocity of the external object through the three-dimensional ambient environment about the headphone structure. The control circuit may provide an alert output if the determined distance between the headphone structure and the external object is less than a defined distance threshold or the velocity of the external object through the three-dimensional ambient environment about the headphone structure exceeds a defined velocity threshold.

Technologies for monitoring a characteristic of a monitored system include determining a measured value of the primary characteristic of the monitored system sensed by a primary sensor and a measured value of the secondary characteristic of the monitored system sensed by a secondary sensor, and predicating a predicted value of the primary characteristic based on the measured value of the secondary characteristic. The measured and predicted values of the primary characteristic are used to determine whether the primary sensor is properly functioning.
