In some examples, a computing device can include a memory resource storing instructions to cause a processor resource to receive, from a first virtual machine assigned a first color gamut, display characteristics of a first display, display characteristics of a second display, or both. In some examples, the instructions can cause the processor resource to receive, from a second virtual machine assigned a second color gamut, the display characteristics of the first display, the display characteristics of the second display, or both, and determine, based on the first color gamut, the second color gamut, and the display characteristics, a color gamut mapping for the first color gamut and the second color gamut. In some examples, the instructions can cause the processor resource to map the first color gamut to the first display and map the second color gamut to the second display based on the color gamut mapping.

An example display for a computing device includes: a display layer; a dynamic liquid crystal antenna formed substantially parallel to the display layer, the dynamic liquid crystal antenna comprising: a liquid crystal layer; a pixelated driving electrode to selectively activate pixels of the liquid crystal layer to form an antenna structure; and a common electrode extending between the liquid crystal layer and the display layer to isolate the liquid crystal layer from the display layer.

In examples, an electronic device comprises a camera and a display having a transparent area aligned with the camera. The display comprises a first line corresponding to a pixel row or column of the display, the first line extending from a first end of the display to the transparent area. The display comprises a second line corresponding to the pixel row or column and extending from a second end of the display to the transparent area, the first and second lines separated by a gap. The electronic device includes a controller coupled to the display, the controller to drive the first and second lines consecutively.

The present disclosure is drawn to re-workable adhesives for electronic devices. In one example, a re-workable adhesive for an electronic device can include a hot-melt adhesive present in an amount from about 60 wt % to about 90 wt % with respect to the total weight of the re-workable adhesive. The hot-melt adhesive can have a reduced bond strength at an elevated temperature. The re-workable adhesive can also include a pressure-sensitive adhesive present in an amount from about 10 wt % to about 40 wt % with respect to the total weight of the re-workable adhesive, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive has a higher bond strength compared to the hot-melt adhesive when at the elevated temperature.

Re-workable adhesives for electronic devices

The present disclosure is drawn to privacy films for electronic displays. In one example, a privacy film for an electronic display can include a louver film. The louver film can include: a plurality of high refractive index slats with a refractive index of about 1.5 to about 3 and having a trapezoidal cross section narrowing toward a viewer side of the louver film; and a plurality of low refractive index slats between the high refractive index slats, having a refractive index less than the refractive index of the high refractive index slats by about 0.1 to about 2. An electrophoretic ink can be optically associated with the low refractive index slats, including opaque particles that are electrically mobile to cause modification of light transmission therethrough. A first and second transparent electrode film can be on a viewer side and a rear side of the electrophoretic ink, respectively.

A coated metal alloy substrate, a process for producing a coating a metal alloy substrate, and an electronic device having a housing comprising a coated metal alloy substrate are described. The coated metal alloy substrate comprises a passivation layer deposited on the metal alloy substrate, a porous conductive water borne carbon nanotube layer on the passivation layer, and an electrophoretic deposition layer deposited on the porous conductive water borne carbon nanotube layer.

The present disclosure is drawn to thin-film transistors, electronic displays that include thin-film transistors, and methods of making thin-film transistors. In one example, a thin-film transistor can include a nonconductive substrate, a semiconductor layer on the nonconductive substrate, a source electrode adjacent a first side of the semiconductor layer and partially overlapping a first peripheral portion of the semiconductor layer, a drain electrode adjacent a second side of the semiconductor layer and partially overlapping a second peripheral portion of the semiconductor layer, an etch stop layer on the semiconductor layer, a gat insulator layer on the etch stop layer, and a gate electrode on the gate insulator layer. The source electrode and the drain electrode do not overlap the etch stop layer.

Thin-film transistors

The present disclosure is drawn to bendable displays for electronic devices. In one example, a first display region including a glass panel that is rigid, the glass panel including a first interlocking edge. A second display region can include a plastic panel that is bendable, the plastic panel including a second interlocking edge that is shaped to inversely correspond with the first interlocking edge. An interlock zone where the first interlocking edge can be joined with the second interlocking edge such that the first display region and the second display region form a continuous display panel that is bendable at a location along the second display region.

In some examples, a computing device can include a processor resource and a non-transitory memory resource storing machine-readable instructions to cause the processor resource to receive a signal from a graphics processing unit, cause, based on the signal, a first portion of image data to be sent to a first pixel on a moving image area of the display panel at a first refresh rate over a plurality of frames in response to a first thin film transistor (TFT) associated with the first pixel being on, and cause, based on the signal, a second portion of the image data to be sent to a second pixel on a static image area of the display panel at a second refresh rate over the plurality of frames.

A lighting system may include a light guide to receive light from a light source; and a reflector plate including a frustrum structure formed on the surface of the reflector plate to receive refracted light from the light guide.

In example implementations, a display is provided. The display includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs), a thin film transistor (TFT) substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a color filter (CF) substrate, and a controller. The TFT substrate is formed over the LEDs to control emission of light from the plurality of LEDs. The liquid crystal layer is formed over the TFT substrate. The CF substrate is formed over the liquid crystal layer to control a color of the light emitted from the plurality of LEDs. The controller is communicatively coupled to the plurality of LEDs to group subsets of LEDs of the plurality of LEDs into a plurality of local dimming zones, wherein the subsets of LEDs in each one of the plurality of local dimming zones changes over time.

In some examples, an organic light emitting transistor (OLET) comprises a substrate layer; a gate electrode disposed on the substrate layer; and a dielectric layer disposed on the gate electrode. The OLET further comprises a first organic semiconductor layer (OSL) disposed on the dielectric layer; a second OSL disposed on the first OSL; a third OSL disposed on the second OSL; a drain electrode disposed on the third OSL; a first source electrode partially disposed on both the first OSL and the third OSL; and a second source electrode partially disposed on both the first OSL and the third OSL, wherein a length of the first OSL is larger than lengths of both the second and third OSLs, and wherein a width of the first OSL is smaller than widths of both the second and third OSLs.

An example display device includes a display panel to display an image; a backlight unit to provide light to the display panel, the backlight unit including a light emitting unit to emit the light; a light guide plate to transmit the light emitted from the light emitting unit; a pair of electrodes adjacent to the light guide plate; and a polymer layer including liquid crystal molecules within the light guide plate. The liquid crystal molecules are to change orientation upon being introduced to an electric field created by the pair of electrodes to change an opacity of the light guide plate. The display device includes at least one film to collimate and direct light from the backlight unit to the display panel; and a processor to switch voltage being applied on/off to the pair of electrodes.
