This disclosure relates to techniques for estimating baseband power consumption and using the baseband power consumption estimation to select baseband operation features. According to some embodiments, one or more baseband power consumption modifiers occurring during an estimation window may be identified. Baseband power consumption of the wireless device during the estimation window may be estimated based on the identified baseband power consumption modifiers occurring during the estimation window. Baseband data throughput of the wireless device during the estimation window may also be estimated. One or more baseband operation characteristics may be selected based at least in part on the estimated baseband power consumption during the estimation window, possibly in conjunction with the estimated baseband data throughput during the estimation window, current wireless medium conditions, and/or other considerations.

Baseband power estimation and feedback mechanism

This disclosure relates to energy budgeted cellular service recovery techniques. A wireless device may determine one or more energy budgets for service recovery. It may be determined that cellular service loss is currently occurring. Cellular service recovery may be attempted, where service recovery scan timing for the attempt to recover cellular service is determined based at least in part on the one or more energy budgets for service recovery.

Energy budgeted system recovery

An evolved Node B (eNB) serves as a primary serving cell (PCell) providing a primary component carrier (PCC) in a licensed spectrum to a user equipment (UE) in a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. A secondary component carrier (SCC) is provided in an unlicensed spectrum. The eNB monitors parameters of bandwidths in the unlicensed spectrum, when at least one of the parameters indicates a change in availability of a select one of the bandwidths, the eNB generates a control indicator defining the change in availability of the bandwidth and broadcasts the control indicator to the UE, wherein the control indicator affects a modification in a transceiver of the UE associated with the bandwidth.

The user equipment may determine when the user equipment enters a wireless charging state and, when the user equipment enters the wireless charging state, activate an interference mitigation. The user equipment may further determine when the UE exits the wireless charging state and, when the user equipment exits the wireless charging state, deactivate the interference mitigation.

Methods, systems and apparatus for mitigating wireless connection degradation due to wireless charging

A system, station and corresponding methods for providing warning notifications. In one exemplary method, it is determined whether any of a plurality of stations to which a Warning Notification is to transmitted is in a connected state. When it is determined that a first one of the stations is in a connected state, generating, by a broadcaster, a secondary Warning Notification formatted for transmission over a dedicated control channel (DCCH) and transmitting, by the broadcaster, the secondary Warning Notification to the first station over the DCCH. In another exemplary embodiment, a station for receiving emergency notifications is described. The station includes a receiver configured to receive a primary Warning Notification; and a processor which, upon receiving the emergency alert configuration in a format of one of a Paging Type 2 message and an SICI message, despreads a plurality of fingers.

System and method for reception of cell broadcast messages

A method, station and computer readable storage medium used for setting a power level of the station. The station implements a first processing layer that is a radio link control layer and a second processing layer that is a physical layer. The method includes receiving data units of a voice application, the data units being in a sequence, determining whether the first processing layer of the station detects a gap in the sequence of received data units, communicating an indication from the first processing layer to the second processing layer, the indication indicating at least one identity of corresponding missing data units in the gap relative to the first processing layer and increasing the current power level when the at least one identity of the corresponding missing data units relative to the first processing layer is also determined to be a missing data unit relative to the second processing layer.

Device and method for setting a target power

A method for adaptive filtering of cell measurements is provided. The method can include a wireless communication device determining based on instantaneous measurement samples of a cell captured over a measurement period that a fading condition of the cell exceeds a threshold. The method can further include the wireless communication device modifying a network configured filter coefficient to derive a modified filter coefficient in response to the fading condition of the cell exceeding the threshold over the measurement period. The method can additionally include the wireless communication device filtering the instantaneous measurement samples based on the modified filter coefficient to calculate a filtered measurement of the cell. The method can also include the wireless communication device calculating an adjusted measurement value for the cell based on the filtered measurement. The method can further include the wireless communication device using the adjusted measurement value for event evaluation and reporting.
