A method and system for evaluating the position of landing gear on an aircraft has been developed. A change is detected in audio noise of the aircraft from an enhanced flight audio recording system (EFARS) and compared with a database of audio outputs of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. An increase in vibrations of the aircraft is detected with a flight management system (FMS) and compared to a database of vibrations of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. A decrease in airspeed of the aircraft is detected with the FMS and compared with a database of airspeed of the aircraft with the landing gear extended. The position of the landing gear is determined based on results of comparisons of the change in audio noise, the increase in vibrations and the decrease in airspeed. The position of the landing gear to is then indicated to the pilot.

Methods and systems to evaluate the position of aircraft landing gear

For instance, the method may include: receiving tracking data from a first source, the tracking data including information identifying a position of a tracked object within a radius of the vehicle, receiving map data from a second source, the map data comprising information identifying a position and/or a status of a mapped object within a radius of the vehicle, receiving sensor data from one or more sensors, determining a position of a target object within a radius of the vehicle by analyzing the tracking data, the map data, and/or the sensor data, and continuously determining whether to perform an adjustment to a route of the vehicle based on the determined position of each target object within the third predetermined radius of the vehicle.

Systems and methods for detect and avoid system for beyond visual line of sight operations of urban air mobility in airspace

In some examples, a collision awareness system includes two cameras mounted on portions of a vehicle and processing circuitry configured to determine a position of an object based on an image captured by a first camera when the object is within a field of view of the first camera. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine the position of the object based on an image captured by a second camera when the object is within a field of view of the second camera. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine whether a distance between a future position of the vehicle and a current or future position of the object is less than a threshold level. In response to determine that the distance is less than the threshold level, the processing circuitry can generate an alert.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for a Secondary Runway Aiming Point (SRAP) procedure of an approach by an ownship that includes identifying at least one aircraft making an approach that satisfy a set of preconditions to pair the aircraft to the ownship in the SRAP procedure; calculating a set of results based on lateral and vertical deviations of a paired SRAP aircraft to the ownship, and differential lateral and vertical rates of the paired SRAP aircraft to the ownship; deriving one or more points from the calculated set of results to determine whether in a flight path of the ownship there is an occurrence of an intrusion into a wake of the paired SRAP aircraft during the approach, and generating graphic data to present on the cockpit display the occurrence of the intrusion in the wake of the flight path of the ownship to the paired SRAP aircraft.

Systems and methods and disclosed for alerting improper inhibition of alerts of aircraft warning systems. In some examples, a method may include: determining whether an inhibition of a safety alert of a warning system of an aircraft is activated; upon determining that the inhibition is activated, determining whether the inhibition is improper under current or upcoming operating conditions of the aircraft, the current or upcoming operating conditions including a current or projected position of the aircraft and a weather condition at the current or projected position; and upon determining that the inhibition is improper under the current or upcoming operating conditions, alerting an operator of the aircraft to deactivate the inhibition.

Systems and methods for alerting improper inhibition of warning systems

Systems and methods are provided for displaying portions of a route on a coverage map that are non-compliant for a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation system in an aircraft. A route compliance module defines a geodetic reference datum standard based on the GNSS navigation system. A navigation system database has compliance information corresponding to each of a plurality of airports. A flight management system determines the route of the aircraft and a visual display displays the route and the coverage map. The route compliance module identifies a non-compliant region of the coverage map that is not compliant with the geodetic reference datum standard based on the compliance information and adjusts the visual display to differentiate a non-compliant portion of the route extending within the non-compliant region of the coverage map.
