Device-side validation of screen recordings is disclosed, including: accessing a screen recording of a user's activities on a client device with respect to a task; performing, at the client device, video validation on the screen recording, including by identifying a characteristic marker associated with the task within the screen recording; and in response to the characteristic marker being identified, sending at least a portion of the screen recording to a compressed version of the screen recording to a server for further processing.

Device-side validation of screen recordings

Generating structured data from screen recordings is disclosed, including: obtaining, from a client device, a screen recording of a user's activities on the client device with respect to a task; performing, at a server, video validation on the screen recording, including by determining whether the screen recording matches a set of validation parameters associated with the task; and generating a set of structured data based at least in part on the video validation.

Generating structured data from screen recordings

Metadata is stored, wherein the metadata is associated with a pre-publication draft of the item of authored content, the metadata including a draft title and a pre-publication set of one or more authors. It is determined that no result in a first set of search results received from a repository of publication information in response to a first query based on the draft title satisfies one or more match criteria to be considered a match to the pre-publication draft of the item of authored content. In response to said determination, a second query based on the draft title and the pre-publication set of one or more authors is formulated and submitted to the repository. A second set of search results is received in response to the second query, each search result being associated with an associated published item of authored content, each published item of authored content having associated therewith a title as published and a list of authors as published. The one or more match criteria is applied to at least a subset of results included in the second set of search results to each of the title as published and the list of authors as published to determine a result considered to be a match to the pre-publication draft.

Rejected article tracker

An example embodiment of the present invention provides processes relating to self-initiated end-to-end monitoring for an authentication gateway. In one particular implementation, the authentication gateway periodically creates and stores a temporary logon for access to a network and then sends a message including the temporary logon over a secure connection to a client. When the client receives the temporary logon, the client responds to the message by attempting to access a configurable network site. The authentication gateway redirects the client to a captive portal which prompts the client for a logon and the client enters the temporary logon at the captive portal. Then upon validating the temporary logon against the stored temporary logon, the authentication gateway authorizes access to the network. If the client successfully accesses the site, the client sends a verification report to the authentication gateway indicating successful access. Otherwise, the client reports on the failed access.

Self-initiated end-to-end monitoring of an authentication gateway

A host receives messages from a network processing device. Messages received from a primary port are processed and also forwarded to a standby host over a secondary port. Messages received by the standby host over the secondary port are processed in the same was as the messages received over the primary port. However, the standby host will not respond to the messages received over the secondary port.

High availability network processing system

A method and device to expedite port release. The method includes receiving a call setup request for a port and then determining the current state of the port. If the current state of the port is active, a release message is transmitted to an entity occupying the port. In an embodiment, the call setup request is granted. In another embodiment, an active port cache is updated to reflect the new entity occupying the port.

Expediting port release in distributed networks

A network device to maintain resource management within a network may comprise an emulator or watchdog that may send an emulation request to a resource manager for emulating a request of a client. Operability of the resource manager may be identified based on a reply of the resource manager to the emulation request. If the resource manager does not provide a response within a given time frame, then the watchdog may identify a failure condition for the resource manager. The watchdog may then initiate corrective actions for replacing the resource manager with a backup server responsive to identifying the fail condition.
